Because of my experiences with psychic development, I find an interest in evaluating the effects it has on our brain.
There are more things in heaven and earth than we shall ever understand but I believe knowledge is key to hopefully unlocking a small portion of the mind's many mysteries.

When trying to develop the brain toward a psychic directive, it must be recognized that if our minds are manipulated into novel states of consciousness, there is always the chance of spiritual deception or danger. Many well-meaning people have embarked on visualization programs geared toward physical health, psychological understanding, or spiritual advancement only to end up involved in the occult.

There are many books on visualization, that boast of how well-intentioned non-occult use of visualization, propelled people into psychic development or spirit contact.
Visualization places the mind into certain brain wave patterns that are conducive to the development of one’s psychic ability.

However, research leads us to believe that it is how we view the practice of visualization. What about the visualization techniques that are practiced in education or among children?

Jack Canfield, prominent educator states, "That when students are participating in a guided imagery experience they are in an altered state of consciousness." If this is true; to what degree does a belief that is conditioned by visualization affect our behaviors our view of the world we live in? Are their long-term effects of visualization, irrespective of the environment in which it transpires?

And how neutral is a consistent program of visualization exercises?
Visualization experts in practice and theory, warn of potential danger.

H. V. Guenther and leading Tibetan Buddhist guru; Cho yam Trungpa, ascertain in The Dawn of Tantra: "Certainly practicing visualization without the proper understanding is extremely destructive. Tantric scriptures abound with warnings about using visualization."

Occultist J. H. Brennan, whose Astral Doorways cites visualization as an excellent doorway," also warns that certain things should never be mixed such as yoga and visualization techniques, unless the instructor knows exactly what they are doing because the do so is in danger of creating a psychosis.

As noted, occultist J.H. Brennan also states, “Many people have begun a visualization journey and converted to occultism as a result. But this behavior poses another danger of the practice because, it is documented elsewhere that occultism is hazardous to an unenlightened person physically, emotionally, and spiritually.

Collectively on the whole; it is understood that a balance must be maintained between worldly activities and spiritual activities so one can inform the other.
There is however an even deeper source of reality, which does not always work directly through nature or the physical universe.

This is the medium of our higher nature influence ( Over-self). This is a source of influence on events, that functions through indirect means (external nature and human environment) but works directly through (conscience and intuition) affecting intuition and various paranormal abilities.

Ordinary thought processes can be transcended under certain conditions to a greater independence of mind in which consciousness goes beyond thinking states altogether.
The mind has been compared to a mysterious weave of interwoven threads of perception, thought and memory.

So is it possible that we as humans only utilize 10% of our brain power?
