Time flies and your little one is almost ready for his/her first birthday. During this period mothers do not need to worry much about their baby's food because during this phase we introduce the little one to eat like an adult. By this time the mother has discovered baby's likes, dislikes, appetite and so much. The baby is still dependent on the mother and it is important for the mother to take care of the hygiene and sanitation.

Hygiene
Always wash your hands with soap or hand wash before the food preparation.
Always wash the bottles, bowls and spoons with hot water and dry them with the help of a clean cloth. Do not use the same cloth for other purposes. This process is called 'sterilization'.
Mothers should always keep their nails short and clean.
No jewellery like rings and chains must be worn
Always freshly prepared foods should be served as fresh foods are free of bacteria
Only home-made foods should be served.
