One day, I suddenly found that I was locked out from my computer because I forgot windows 7 password of my PC. I was very frustrated at that moment when thinking that once reinstalling my PC, much of my important material may be disappeared since I would like to save them in the C disk. Fortunately, my friend told me a great solution that helps me a lot to assign a new password. I’d like to share it with you.

This solution unlocks the computer and will let you see the user accounts that are on your system and you can change or delete them once you enter the system. These instructions are for use on Windows OS.
Step 1Select the “Start” icon in the left corner of your desktop
Step 2Select “run” in the window. Then, a second pop-up window will appear; input “cmd” in this box, then select “OK”, which will bring you into the black DOS command screen.
Step3 Input the following command: net(space)user(space) the username(i.e. johnadams) *. Then, Press “ENTER “on your keyboard.
Step 4 Input a new password in the command screen prompt when you are required. Input new password again once you are asked to confirm.
Step 5 Input word “Exit” and you will be back to the login screen. Enter the new password that you selected. And you eventually reset Windows password.

However, you have to pay attention that this solution works in the premise that you have been in the system. IF you are locked out, and cannot enter the system, this solution may be not as helpful as we think.
