Have you ever stopped to think about the Spanish culture in the small rural villages that only a few outsiders have experienced when booking your SPANISH HOLIDAY RENTALS? This experience is available to you no matter which part of Spain you wish to holiday in, whether it be on the sunny coast of Andalucia or the cloud encircled Pyrenees Mountains. As you discover these villages on your journey into what makes Spanish life so inviting you will soon realize that each one has a distinct character, atmosphere and a history they are justly proud of.
As your research leads you to those little out of the way places there is one Spanish phrase you will not soon forget that applies to a mountain of things. That phrase is “de pueblo” or “from the village”. It is used when describing the region’s people, their characteristics or simply the landscape in these rural regions but, whatever they use the phrase to describe, you will find that it is always presented in a positive manner. For example, when surveying the countryside you may find it romantic even pastoral with its herds of cows, sheep and even a few donkeys that roam among the orchards, this is what is used to define what, in a small way, “de pueblo” means.
When you enter one of the villages small bars with the locals treating themselves to some of the locally cured ham from the old wooden top bar with a glass of local wine in their hand, this is surly the epitome of an atmosphere that can only be referred to as “de pueblo”. There are so many things and places one could consider to be “de pueblo” that the list would soon become endless. When you include the more obvious like eating chorizo with a fresh cheese in the early morning or one of the whitewashed houses in Andalucia’s olive country that has narrow winding cobblestone streets leading to a flower filled square: this is “de pueblo” as well. Then there is the “de pueblo” that people abide by when serving someone that they would like to throw out. In its purest form this phrase is from the countryside and not found in the big cities, as it suggest a simplistic way of life with an authenticity not observed any place other than in rural Spain. You can also take it to include family, the antiquity that the villagers are so proud of and most of all a lifestyle beyond compare.
This year when you book your SPANISH HOLIDAY RENTALS, stop and give a though to what is meant by “de pueblo” in its relationship to the people. If you take some time to associate with these village people you will soon discover they are a race of friendly, family orientate and proud people only too willing to share with you whatever you needs may be. Take advantage of “de pueblo” as it is an education into what local people perceive Spain to be and it’s sequestered in these small villages across the country. If there was ever a time in human existence to promote a mutual understanding between nations, in less of a political way, that time is now and there is no better way than “de pueblo”.
