Makes sense doesn’t it?

Yet how many times do we start doing something ‘positive’ only to find maybe a week or so in we’ve lost the ‘motivation’; we don’t ‘have the time’; we’re ‘too tired’….
And the trouble is what then happens is – they stop working so we say ‘oh see it doesn’t work’.

We all know that the power of our thoughts has tremendous impact on our lives. What we think today becomes true for us tomorrow.
And yet, and yet…
We still stop doing them, the affirmations, prayers, tapping, meditation, - whatever it is that you were doing on a daily basis.

Why?

When you get back in to it you start feeling so much better. In fact you start feeling great. You create this ‘power’ inside you that feels invincible. You are the law in your life. Not your mind or your thoughts. You’re not a victim, at the mercy of those gremlins, and fear, doubt and procrastination.

Because they do take over, don’t they?
Those little ‘devils’, those ‘gremlins’, those voices that tell you ‘you can’t do something’ or ‘you’re not good enough, or ‘you don’t deserve. Then before you know it, doubt has crept in with its own litany and added fuel to the fire and then what happens – ABSOLUTELY NOTHING.

Because instead of feeling great and powerful and capable and talented and all those good things, you feel awful and don’t do anything.

‘They’ say that procrastination is the thief of time. Well I agree with that

I also believe that any action is better than no action at all. If it’s wrong – well try something different next time – but that’s so much better than just sitting there – worrying about it; not making a decision.

‘They’ (‘they’re very knowledge those ‘they’ aren’t they? ‘they’ seem to have an opinion about everything bless them). However I digress ‘they’ also say that there’s no such thing as failure only feedback.

Well I’ve no idea how you feel about that one but what I do know is that when we worry about something it is a litany; we go over it and over it time and time and time again in our minds. We use the expression ‘like a dog with a bone’. We do, don’t we?

So if we’re able to go over the worries why can’t we think positive thoughts in the same way?

After all it’s only habit, isn’t it?

Louise Hay said : “It’s only a thought and a thought can be changed”

If we believe something about ourselves we’ll keep putting it out there. Why can’t it be good stuff?
‘they’ say (sorry there’s ‘them’ again!) that rich men make decisions quickly while poor men make them slowly. Let’s face it, we call them ‘decision makers’ for a reason.

And the reason you (and I) dither and dawdle is because we are so frightened of making the wrong decision. Well hell’s bells. What the worst case that could happen?? Better to know and get it over with.

I started off by talking about affirmations and you may think I’ve wondered off the point – but I haven’t

Affirmations, meditations, visualisations, tapping – whatever you do – must be done regularly – on a daily basis.

It gives you confidence, helps you move into the day ahead with energy and enthusiasm knowing that whatever you decide is OK

And it is

It’s the right decision at the time. With all the information you have. Make it and get on.

And do those affirmations, meditations, visualisations, tapping – whatever it is you do – every single day.
Make it the same good habit as cleaning your teeth
You wouldn’t clean your teeth once a day for a week and then think ‘oh I haven’t time’!
You wouldn’t shower every day for a week and then think ‘oh I can’t be bothered’.
What about getting dressed? Not dressing every day would save time!!!!

Of course if you really do want to do these things and you know once again you’ll start and then stop, maybe it’s time you had someone to be accountable to.

That would make all the difference

I’m not a ‘coach’ – a coach is a vehicle with wheels that transports people from place to place;
I’m not a ‘trainer’ – a trainer is a piece of footwear usually worn by athletes and sports people

Author's Bio:

I've been on my own personal development journey for many years, discovering, learning and studying with some of the very best experts in their fields.
I’ve always worked in a people environment helping and advising so it seemed a natural progression for me to move from that to becoming a personal development coach.
I believe very much that unless you re-programme your negative beliefs and thoughts you'll never 'move on' and that could be with relationships, weight loss, health, career, money.
Using the very powerful and effective processes of EFT, NLP, Hypnosis, and Theta Healing, I motivate and steer people toward living the lives they want rather than what they 'should' or been told to. This gives them the opportunity to truly live the life they deserve.
I believe that what we put out there we get back and the only way to improve our lives is by ‘reprogramming’ our mindset.
The 3 greatest internal blocks people have are fear, self doubt and procrastination. When we release those we can be, do, have whatever it is we truly desire.
Like a computer when the 'hardware' isn't congruent with the 'software' no advancement can be made when we are out of sync; and it's the same with our brains. If we say one thing – and believe in our subconscious something totally, different we’ll never make the changes we think we want. Our thoughts and beliefs are what makes us tick so whatever the issue whether it’s relationships, work/career, money, self esteem, confidence; I help people look at what is holding them back and help them release those ties enabling them to go forward with whatever it is they desire. . But it can be a very painful process, the letting go, and people have to be ready and willing to make the changes. Affirmations are wonderful tools but useless without that one major ingredient – Action!
Once you take the Action, are consistent and make the commitment – YOU make it happen
With Persistence plus Confidence YOU equal Success
My greatest joy is seeing the transformation when someone releases their blocks and moves forward.
