It’s time to look at an important word that we love to banter about, but usually use inappropriately. The word is “rapture.” Its original meaning was “to jump out” … to jump out of one’s usual way of being … to jump out of ones’ comfort zone … to jump out of our shell and feel the freedom of jumping into something new. The reason “rapture” gives you an outstanding feeling is because you are standing outside of your usual way of being. The next five blogs will look deeper into the incredible feeling of “rapture.”

The tiny bird feels the exuberance of rapture, as he breaks free from his shell. A bright, new world is before him. And when he gets too comfortable in his nest, the mother bird says, “Come to the edge.” She wants him to come to the edge of the branch, spread his wings, and once again break free and fly to the open sky.

When is the last time you experienced rapture? When is the last time you had the courage to break free? Where would you be? What would you be doing right now if you were to experience rapture?
