I would like to talk about the idea of positive change. It is vital to your personal growth goals. It is in human nature to be an ever changing species. If you wrote down a list today of all the things you believe you are, you bet it'll be wrong by tomorrow. The fact is that each day your body's metabolism ages minutely and you collect new mental and physical experiences from the environment around you. It is strange then that so many people are terrified by the concept of change.

Why do so many of us hanker for the past? Why do always reminisce for the, "Good old days." Maybe it's because we fear the unfamiliar? To be able to get over any qualms you might have about transformation, you need to consider yourself to be a work in development. All the skills you obtain or interests you acquire produces a change within you. A way to respond in this situation is to have an adaptable attitude to your environment. Remember even if you are experiencing something negative, challenging, or dreary, consequently, you will develop and grow.

There are, however, always going to be some things you can't alter about yourself. You can improve a little, but sometimes you can't alter things about yourself at all. For example if you were a mature adult and five feet tall, you cannot make yourself 6 foot through willpower to change alone. Always remember to keep your goals practical by recognizing in which areas of your life you are good at. A happy life is about accepting the fact that you cannot be good at everything and not putting yourself down for them. Mankind is fallible. The learning process of human beings are to make errors in life and learn from those mistakes. The more you learn from your mistakes the more you learn about who you are as a person.

If you want to become more adaptive in your environment you must remember to forgive yourself for your foibles. There is no point in becoming hung up over your past deeds. To be a resilient person in the face of trouble you have to tell yourself, "I am strong enough to get over this problem. What's done is done." The incorporation of self accepting beliefs will make a big difference in your life. Self accepting beliefs are helpful because they encourage improvement and not reproach. With self accepting beliefs you become encouraged to address your shortcomings without being negative about them. When problems happen or you behave badly, stop and analyze yourself. Are you being irrational? Are you over emotional? Do you think the whole world's against you? The fact is people, in general, are better problem solvers when they are not emotionally distraught.

Ask yourself do you know anyone who is absolutely perfect? Realizing the fact that no one is perfect will help you accept yourself for who you are. Never place extreme restrictions on yourself. Always be honest and open minded. The fallibility of mankind is something you should always acknowledge. Remember failure is sign of your distinctiveness as a human being. We are all individual and are all good at different things. When you become comfortable with yourself this is when you are ready for adapting to positive change and analyzing the negative aspects of your life without being too harsh on yourself.

It's important to remember that by taking change seriously does not mean you have to take yourself too seriously. What you have to do is accept your shortcomings, and learn to laugh at yourself, which in turn will help you stop dwelling on the negative past. Please note though you must not fall into the trap of thinking, "I am who I and so there is no point in changing." This attitude will not get you the positive change you want in your life. Becoming more adaptive is a development of both a readiness and acceptance of embracing change. So don't delay and go and get the mindset you desire through positive adaptive change!
