The Grace of Spirit
Life unfolds in such miraculous ways! It embraces such vast polarity with many unexpected ironies along the way. Each and every one of us is witness to this mysterious phenomenon. We just know it is true from day to day and throughout our lives. The impact is oftentimes instantaneous, yet at other times appears to be cumulative. What I have chosen to write about is something that truly cannot be captured or defined by our chosen language of words. Nevertheless, I am willing to make myself vulnerable in doing so for the sake of my own spiritual growth. So,I am asking you to consider what you may think about this and what it may mean? Does this sound like a bunch of gibberish to you? What intrinsic meaning does “The Grace of Spirit” hold for you in your world? The reason that I say your world is because although the physicality of our existence is a shared field, our senses, perceptual views, and experience all shape the way “the world” is lived through us. Perhaps we may all have different definitions for what something is and how it affects us according to the personal lens we choose to experience the world. This is analogous to the many subtle shades of any one given color… For example, the color blue can be described by a variety of types, sky blue, navy blue, teal blue, baby blue as well as many more. To say blue alone does not say enough.
Spiritual Grace is that “indefinable force”. It is that something that creates a dynamic equilibrium that not just allows, it actually creates a divine universal order to graciously manifest. It is an innermost feeling of pure gratitude. It is the interconnectedness of all life on our planet. Most likely, you are familiar with the concept that we are all really One. As author/ Spiritual teacher Eckart Tolle, propounds in his philosophy of human consciousness, the stillness within is our deepest common heritage, the life source within each of us. There is that collective intelligence that does not require any figuring out, nor does it require words to clearly communicate. It is simply the here and the NOW. Likewise, I feel that this stems from the basic truth that we are all divine energy in action. These are the ways of being alive in the world, as we find the way that feels best for us. It is the complete reliable source of graceful ease and situations resolve on their own. It is the creator’s incredible, infinite intelligence operating at all times, through sickness and health and everything in between. The cosmic motions that surround us daily are miracles just waiting to crystallize and occur. Can you take a moment to think of a time when you felt this cherished moment in your own life?
This “Grace of Spirit” or spiritual perspective is not about categories, judgments and conceptions. It is much more about an expansive, nonlinear way of being, feeling and thinking and not very much about the doing. If we can each find some way to put our problems aside and stay fully present to look beyond what is, we then welcome the opportunity to see what may be… in its highest best form. As our energies are fully utilized in this way, you will find inner peace and know it is time well spent. This is the essential attitude needed for positive energy to take form. Spirituality in its broadest sense is a real human need, as we all share spirit within us. Although, it is often interconnected with philosophy, culture, religion, ethnicity and all of life’s experience, it is its own entity in its own right as well. It is your inner reflective, felt sense that moves you in ways when you may least expect. It is the meaning that makes life meaningful to you. It is “The Grace of Spirit”.
