In most cases, those who disagree with this Biblically substantiated doctrine called The Genesis Gap, have not actually studied a detailed presentation of it. Some are also mistaken regarding the basic principles of it (i.e. confusing it with "day-age theories", or thought to be a compromise of God’s Word made to compete with "the theory of evolution" or that it is presented out-of-context). In Jesus' prayer he taught his disciples, telling them to say to The Heavenly Father in prayer: - "And lead us not into temptation but deliver us from the evil one."

The tempting of Adam and Eve, God's newly created people, whom God loved dearly, WAS NOT the cause of Lucifer becoming the fallen angel, Satan. It was an extreme prideful-ness and self-exaltation that caused his transformation into the Devil (Isaiah 14 and Ezekiel 28). I have many Biblical quotes and references to scriptures you can read, that show this teaching to have far more importance than most Christians realize. It is not required knowledge to receive salvation. It can, however, be very important to some people because it opens to them, more meanings to the Holy Scriptures (The Bible- God's Word). It can help those who truly wish to understand why we live on an extremely ancient planet and in an ageless universe.

I can list many reputable sources, including some from the 2nd and 3rd centuries after Christ's resurrection, who recognized a Pre-Adamic Earth; sources from the 100s and 200s AD. There are a significant number of pro pre-Adamic earth sources, written before and after a man named Thomas Chalmers. Many anti - Genesis Gap, Young Earth Creationists, believe incorrectly that he is the man who started the teaching and that those of us now who believe-in the teaching are heretics. [Readers please note that while this doctrine passes scriptural rules and even common sense ones, it is still a necessity for me to add reminder, that all scripture studies, should and do come under reasonable scrutiny. This should be the stance for every Christian.]

The internet has, in the past few years and especially months, been flooded with many anti – Genesis Gap debate articles. Someone is always claiming to "debunk" the teaching, but it is very evident that they know very little about the subject. They also get certain so called "facts" about the doctrine incorrect without being aware of it. Some of these articles state that the teaching was "invented" by a man called Thomas Chalmers, as previously mentioned. This man from the 1700s taught many principles of the teaching decades before Darwinism and Theory of Evolution books were published in the mid-1800s.

Not only has there been a constant flow of teachers/preachers who present others with the scriptural-backing for this Bible study, but they have been doing-so, since the second century after Jesus resurrection (the 100s and forward). There are many scriptures in The Holy Bible that tie-into and are confirmations that there were pre-adamic (before Adam) events, including an earth that existed before this one, in which mankind was created and given dominion to rule over. This includes this earth and all things created and made herein. Is the Genesis Gap teaching really a heresy?

Don't be predisposed to disagree with the Genesis Gap teaching and you will almost certainly see that if it is not true, there are a great many things in the Holy Bible that simply do not meet with common sense. More importantly there are things that will not make Biblical/spiritual sense either. Our world started with Adam sharing earth's domain with Satan by yielding-to and obeying his temptation. Satan is now called "god of this world”: - 2 Corinthians 4:4. This will be continue to be true until the Battle of Armageddon if fought (Christ and His saints win), which follows 1,000 years of peace ushered in by the Lord at His 2nd coming, with His saints.

We, the born-again believers in our Great Messiah, will be kings and priests and reign with him during that 1,000 years of peace. We will also be with Christ when he returns to earth, for the final judgement against the ungodly (Jude 1:14). We are having our sudden resurrection before the ending of all rebellion remaining on this earth. After this "Rapture" resurrection of Christians, who will reign with him during the 1,000 years of peace previously mentioned – (Revelation 5:10). Afterward we enjoy eternity with God – everlasting and never ending. During our natural lives before the Rapture, however, “flesh and blood”, will oppress us in the meantime (Ephesians 6:12) but the force behind that flesh and blood, are spirits of wickedness who are the actual problem.

Author's Bio:

I am a graduate of Liberty University (1996) for completion of theological studies. Bible studies are one of my most-covered book-subjects. I am however, careful to only address those subjects that I believe God has given me correct revelation on. I was a Christian Youth Minister, beginning in the 1980s for approximately 20 years (between youth ministries I served in other church capacities as well). I was also a guest speaker to churches, who invited me to present important Bible teachings to their evangelical congregations, during those same years.
