Your Source knows who you are, where you came from, where you are headed as well as your full potential. Your source knows why you are the way you are and how you can be the best you can. As humans, we all have a common source. That source is God.

Unfortunately, this is seldom an area for consideration for many for matters relating to self-esteem development. One of the great secrets I have discovered about the source of my self-esteem is captured in the following statements:

With God I can,
Therefore, with God I will,
Because, with God, I am

I can do whatever He says I can do, because He has enabled me to become all that I can be.
The key therefore is finding out what He says you can do and who he says you are. You can do these primarily by looking through His manual (The Bible) or by constant interaction with Him.

You may not expect to see God in a material dealing with self-esteem. But the truth is that nowhere is God more relevant. I can guarantee you that your level of self-esteem and potential is directly linked with the level of your knowledge of who God says you are.
Often we look to the wrong sources for self-esteem development. We need to learn who the authentic source is. And we need to learn the channels through which He communicates.

Often, when we want to get acquainted with a subject, we investigate its scope. Studying God’s manual (the Bible) gives a lot of insights into the things God says we are. This is the key and the foundation to developing great self-esteem. You will find that you are not only special, but have been equipped to do special things. The seeds of greatness lie deep within you. The potential for exploits are domiciled in you. All you need to do is unlock them. And with God, YOU WILL.
