Here's the deal guys, our world is in a time of rapid change. Every single person here on Earth is affected by this change. Some may feel it or be more attuned to it than others. Some may easily go with the flow and others will be more resistant.

Stop for a moment and truthfully acknowledge your current feelings about your life in general. If you could rate your happiness on a scale of 1 to 10, what number would you be?

Are you a...

* 1-2............miserable-nothing's going right?
* 3-4............complacent/denial- I keep myself so regimented, scheduled and busy that I don't even realize how much I am neglecting my own needs. I keep go, go, going and do, do, doing so I don't have to face the fact that I am unhappy.
*5-6............I realize I am unhappy but am not sure what to do about it.
*7-8............I am actively working on myself and doing things to help bring more joy into my life. I have goals and I feel I am on the right path.
*9-10.........I feel joyful, energetic, healthy and connected. Each day brings me some new blessing and I know that my presence here is important.

So, where do you think you fall on the happiness scale? Obviously, this scale is only a general measuring tool to help you become more aware of your present situation. Some may feel great at times and then horrible at other times. Just try to evaluate your overall happiness and don't get caught up in little details.

Do you feel angered by this happiness scale? If so, then congratulations! Anger can signify a need for change and should be paid very close attention. It could also mean that you have been in denial and the ego loves denial! When in denial, fear will keep you trapped in a rut and leave you paralyzed to make changes in your life. You tell yourself that things are fine and that you are happy, but deep down you would love a different job, or more time to explore yourself, or some other significant change.

If you feel resistance in any area of your life, these are the areas in which you need to take a closer look because what you resist, persists! Most of us have been taught to suppress uncomfortable emotions and pretend they are not there. Let me tell you however, you will not ever be happy until you take a closer look at your uncomfortable emotions. Think of these emotions as guideposts signaling to you that here is a place to do some healing work!

Healing work and personal growth is not scary stuff. It doesn't have to be painful. It involves honesty and courage but the rewards are powerful and endless! Every good thing takes a little big of work. Do not let fear stop you from achieving happiness in your life! This is your one life, as YOU and the days are slipping by. I promise you, once you begin this journey, you will come alive! You will see your life with new eyes and others will ask you what is your secret!
