Here is a recipe that you can experiment with at home. Use a blender or food processor to prepare it or better yet if you have a Vitamix blender this recipe is made for its use.

Ingredients Needed:

  • 1-cup (240 g) nonfat, plain vanilla or strawberry yogurt
  • 1 pound (454 g) frozen unsweetened strawberries
  • 1/3-cup (65g) sugar

Note:
You can use a sugar substitute to equal the amount needed if you are using plain yogurt
You can use other yogurt flavors discussed in the Berry Article
Such as blueberries, raspberries and other frozen fruits
Omit the sugar if you are using flavored yogurt

How to Make:

  • Place all ingredients in the machine of your choice – Vitamix Blender, Food processor in the order listed and secure the lid.
  • Non Vitamix Users will select setting that will chop and puree
  • Vitamix user will select Frozen Desserts program
  • Press start
  • Use tamper to press ingredients into the blades or stop machine and use a spatula to push ingredients into blades. Replace lid and continue to process until smooth and thick.
  • Vitamix user will allow machine to complete programmed cycle
  • Serve immediately

Yield: 3 Cups (720 ML)
