Sharing a few Uplifting Thoughts (from my Notes – Part Two)
Submitters Note
Here are some of my notes and thoughts (in point form) that I've collected and
written down over the years, which may be of interest and get you “tinking”
about these “airey-fairey matters”. Some are from authors unknown. I find them
empowering and inspirational on my own journey "on the path less travelled". So
will share with you and hope them may be uplifting, empowering and perhaps even
inspirational to you too. Enjoy...
The death of one man breathed new life into Christianity. The passion of Christ moved Mahatma Gandhi greatly. He was the greatest teacher mankind has ever seen.
ROBERT BECKFORD on Jesus
The highest goal of my life is knowing and experiencing God.
Expression:
"I work for humanity."
Jesus is the human face of God
"And He said to me:
'Write, for these words are true and faithful'."
"The Lord will give strength to His people.
The Lord will bless His people with peace."
- Psalm 29:11
The resurrection of Jesus symbolises the hope of new life.
The values of justice, truth and grace in a new age of responsibility.
A champion of peace in a time of war
God responds to desperation.
As I pray, I become.
Gandhi stood for the universal rights of humanity
"Creativity is great, but plagiarism is easier and much faster."
"God, the mystery of life"
"God is eternal. I have a living relationship with this God."
- Bishop John Shelby Spong (of Newark, New Jersey??)
All of life is deeply inter-connected in ways we cannot imagine.
THE DIVINE SPARK IS WITHIN US
SALVATION IS WITHIN US
JESUS'S PURPOSE WAS TO SEEK AND SAVE THE LOST
A DIVINE PURPOSE FOR WHICH WE ARE CREATED
Tap into joy and fulfilment
Justice, human rights for all
What we are is God's gift to us.
What we become is our gift to God.
EXPECT God to bless you.
Go all the way. Follow Him fully.
TRUST Him in obedience.
ATTITUDE is a choice:
I am responsible for my attitude - it's MY choice
Lord,
Make me a channel for Your peace to flow through to everyone I meet.
PUT FAITH IN GOD AND ALLOW HIM TO WORK IN YOU.
Say: MY AGENDA TODAY IS YOUR AGENDA. THEN JUST TRUST AND OBEY
YOU, GOD ARE THE INITIATOR OF EVERYTHING.
"The Son can do nothing without the Father."
Faith is trust in an object - which does things for you (this
makes you less... in the exercise of your faith).
- Acts 2:22
We don't become clones. Jesus uses our unique personalities and gifts. He is the Source.
Paul: "Your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit."
WE are His workshop, expressing Himself.
Christ chose US, the 'little ordiniary (what’s that?) people' to go out and change the world... for the better. He doesn't have a Plan B. It's up to US to implement His Plan A, being the hands, ears and eyes of Christ to help heal a hurting world...today
"Lord,
Use my 'little' life as a vehicle for Your endless possibilities

"Our prayers are answered not when we are given what we want; but when we are challenged to be what (all that) we can become."
- Morris Adler
PS
“When (or is it perhaps if??) you arrive in a place (or rather state ) known as heaven, let faith and love be the wings of the chariot that carried you there.”
- Craig (as adapted from the words of Jonathan Edwards, a former minister in Massachusetts (New England)
"Together, one mind, one heart, one life at a time, lets see how many people we can impact, encourage, empower and perhaps even inspire to reach their fullest potentials."
