Designing a home bar can be exciting and fun, as there are countless numbers of options and choices available in designing. You can select from a variety of bar designs or even customize it to fit your bar requirements. Here are some tips to help you set up a home bar indoors.

Start by deciding on a location for your bar. Choose an area that’s away from the main area of the home, so you can have fun without disturbing others. If you have a large game room or a basement, it can double up as a bar area or you can set up a mini bar in one corner of the room.

Next, list down the various sections you would want your bar to feature. Consider factors like storage requirements, number of home bar accessories, additional seating, lighting and other key essentials when setting up a home bar.

Once you’ve set up the structure of your bar, stock it with wine bottles and other home bar accessories. Decide on the kind of liquor you would like to have in your home bar. Vodka, wine, rum, tequila, brandy and whiskey are some bar essentials. You also need to include fizz drinks and flavored juices if you’re going to make flavored cocktails for your guests.

Choose glasses like beer mugs, martini glasses, shot glasses and wine glasses to serve drinks. To serve a chilled beer, you will need a mini refrigerator to place beer mugs. Select a mini refrigerator that features several compartments to store your bottles, beer cans and beer mugs. You can also select a wine chiller to stack all your wine bottles. Wine chillers are offered in a number of styles from single bottle wine chillers to a large wine fridge that stocks multiple wine bottles. Small single bottle wine chillers and wine buckets are ideal to store a small collection of wine and a wine fridge is ideal to store an entire collection of wine bottles.

To further accessorize your bar, experiment with the lighting by incorporating mood lights. You can use overhead lighting to focus on the bar table and also have some vibrant lights for a lively feel.

With these tips, selecting the right home bar accessories should be easy.
