In the first 1980s a movie named Mene Pyaar Kiya hit screens across India, then came to light a young bubbly star named Abdul Rashid Salim Salman Khan. In the year 2002 he was convicted for negligent driving. As he saw a bakery, one person sleeping on the bakery pavement died and three others were injured. He was also convicted for shooting down a deer. This was an endangered species of deer named Chinkara. Salman Khan was remanded in Jodhpur jail for the same and spent six days in jail with other prisoners. After the attacks in Mumbai on 26th November 2008, he again came under fire as he said that Pakistan was not involved in the attacks. Various political outfits and writers like Chetan Bhagat fired comments at his interview. He didn't care about of these controversies and faced his adversity with great courage.

He turned producer for Chiller Party and writer for films like Veer and Baaghi.
