In the name of religion most of the people of this planet are oriented since long. Leaving aside paraphernalia—rituals, custom etc. culture of different countries had grown gradually. In every family we follow such things according to our respective religion and that varies from others. The Christians had some way of expression and tradition, so was the cases among the Muslims, Hindus, Buddhists and others. Again there were controversies as regards the Concept of God. Jesus made him known to all as “The Son of God.” Whereas Muhammad proclaimed, “Allah (God) is Formless.” The Hindus are of different opinion—God is Form, Formless and what not? Till today in India God takes any appearance as a situation demands. The believer is being guided according to the sacred scriptures—The Bible, The Quran, The Gita, and others as dictated by the father-figure of all prophets in the past. In course of time, God in form or formless, to most of the people, rich or poor, has little to bother about. They remain satisfied through offerings and taking flowers, fruits, sweetmeats as ‘prosad’ as blessings. None has had little endurance to go deep into religion.

Now whatever are the rituals, reasoning, religion and realization, in knowing all about the Concept of God we must have some clear conception. Something hedgy can never provide a true picture to satisfy us in all ages. It was none of our business. In the light of Ma-Mahajnan we are supposed to think about the depth of knowledge of the prophets in the past. It all depended on how the supreme one (the father-figure I mentioned) of every religion explained every nook and corner and overall aspects related to life and living to enlighten people. Was there any deficiency in their teachings or preaching? It is very sensitive subject; at best with highest regard for them we just ask within. Did truth found fault with them? Truth should have revealed itself totally. Sorry, it is none of our business.

All roads lead but to the grave. In the question of attainment of truth, we may take any path to follow, will surely arrive at the same destination. Excuse me according to Ma-Mahajnan; in the question of realizing truth there is no simple way of proceeding along just walking on foot. We stride on plain land; climb on mountain or crossing river in one life as the situation demands. It is quite obvious that in solving critical problems of life and living--to attain peace and happiness we are supposed to attain perfection in every attempt. Nothing more right at this moment. Now the fact is: Why Religion remains ever undefined? Truth and peace are intermingled. If there is inefficiency in one definitely the other will suffer. During centuries after centuries unfortunately we had been observing discrepancies. None knows why so much unrest among people of different caste and creed, religion and culture. Why peace fails to prevail due to lack of patience and perseverance? Truth remains helpless amid awkwardness of families and societies? Understandings among different countries are simply far-fetched.

Well, basically we are to think about our respective families. Then the question of looking towards our society along with our neighbors is required to consider. If we justify ourselves in our endeavor, we think seriously about our own country. This is how the things are in motion and progress. But the problem of restoring balance in family, society and in and around the country we belong to is not so easy. The rank and file in every age listens to Brutus but follows Antony. They are simply exploited by the leaders who try to gain priority in the power-corridor. Elite or any distinguished should have some special qualities. Today man-management is not so effective. It has been captured by mass-management. One of such state of mind must have enough experience and temperament. To control any issue that involves in the family, society and country as well is getting complicated day by day.

Being wild with application of religion we took advantage of every situation that we faced in the past from remote corner of villages to towns and cities around the world. Religion had been properly used during independence in India. As a secular State our first Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru established equal support and protection to all faiths. So was pronounced by Dr. S. Radhakrishnan, the world-renowned philosopher and once our President, ‘When India is said to be a secular state, it does not mean that we as a people reject the relevance of religion.’ Mahatma Gandhi’s simplicity reflected in plain language, “Those who say religion has nothing to do with politics do not know what religion is.” Sadly indeed, how the interface has been changed from time to time! Struggle for ‘changing scenario’ seems to be out of question. When we cry in vain, seriously in a fix, it is my suggestion and request that one should watch the web site that dictates “Universal Solution Offering Tranquility’: http://mystriesunraveled.com.

Thus what once developed as Crusade in the world of Christianity are now widely appreciated as Jihad in the world of Islam. Sadly, in power-politics in India BJP had also started the role of Hindutwa as a lame duck within the narrow confine in our mother-land. Leaving India aside, a vast majority of fundamentalists are the guiding factor of world-wide terrorism. What is the reason please? Strangely, when science is gradually expanding its horizon looking towards every direction, every religion, as I said earlier, seems to us as stagnant water.

Out of fear and frustration a good number of devotees throng together in churches, mosques, temples and math-mission around the world. They pay homage to their deities or one’s divinity. Seek blessings and leave the campus to enjoy life as usual. Every mind is to be elevated through power of reasoning. But who is there to help them? Government is against or indifferent about religion. None, absolutely nobody. Loosely may be said, ‘Know thyself’. Well, we are to know ourselves. Who will make things known to us? ‘Read scriptures. Have a good company.’—Such lessons are not so effective. Had it been so easy, the world would have largely changed. Naturally, this is the high time to refine religion and establish Spirituality for the well-being of human habitation around the world.

Under such long-prevailing situations we are apt to think what religion truly mean to satisfy the need of the hour. Since science is developing gradually and unusually especially, during the age of computer, mobile and iPod etc why should we fail to develop power of reasoning to justify every religion and get the essence of them to raise Spirituality? If not possible, let it be achieved independently. So we badly need to get the proper definition of Religion. Now, let us see what Ma-Mahajnan says. “Religion is just to measure the normal steps, to build up the household in an orderly manner. That’s indeed, true religion, and of original form. Starting from there, one can go on to the infinite. That’s the beginning, but even there people find themselves falling short of the standard.” Evidently, this definition will help us to delve deep and start afresh. After all, soon we are to realize the aspects of all the web pages, previously mentioned, along with this: http://nothingnesstoo.com

Author's Bio:

Ma-Mahajnan, a matchless spiritual genius, expressed her entire creation in a state of "Conscious Trance” which has all been stuffed with matters of highly philosophical value and related with strong literary sense. She could not attend even Primary School due to extreme poverty. Strangely, she was taught all by herself in the School of Nature. The weird and wonderful life is possibly the souse of her vast experience and profound realization. She was born on 17 July, 1928 and passed away on 22 January, 2011. Listen to what Ma-Mahajnan said once: What I tell you briefly about the early phase. Listen first about my life. I was married off at the age of thirteen. I was the second wife, my husband married for the second time and thus I came into his family. I didn’t get any chance for schooling.” You’ll perhaps weep to hear how I came as a wife, driven by utter poverty or how they packed me off. After that all at once I slowly progressed in the domain of that ‘Nothingness’-- “I’m the Mother; the Nothingness, too.”

Asokananda Prosad, Ma-Mahajnan's first disciple, is an engineer, a philosopher and a philanthropist. Being the missing son—the eldest and the first disciple of Great Ma-Mahajnan, he has had to shoulder so many burdens of Ashram and Temple. He has long been translating Works of Ma-Mahajnan, written in Bengali, into English. The Mother didn’t just put those in black and white, but simply expressed, extempore and spontaneous, in a state of “Conscious Trance” and Asokananda, along with his brothers and sisters of Ashram and Temple, got those tape-recorded.
