This is a great way to build in a non-guilt dessert and to get some wonderful vitamins and minerals into your body. Only problem will be holding back from eating the whole thing and leaving any for the rest of your family or friends.
Ingredients:
¼ cup and 1 tbsp of raw almond butter
¼ cup Grade B maple syrup
2 tbsp coconut butter
1 tbsp alcohol-free vanilla
2 soft dates, pitted
¼ tsp. cinnamon
pinch of sea salt
water, as needed
*Green apples (and lemon) for dipping
High speed blender
Directions:
Place all the ingredients except for the apples into the blender until the sauce is smooth, creamy and has that shiny texture. Place this sauce in a bowl .
Serve sauce with the green apples. To prep apples, cut them into slivers with the skin still on, Put he apples in to a bowl of water with lemon juice in it so that the apples don’t turn brown. Once you re ready to serve, take the apples out of the water, rinse if you wish and dry…Delicious together!
