What a racket!

Whoever thought, then developed, paralyzing injections that freeze certain muscles using a neurotoxin is certainly a gizzilonaire by now. To think that men and women could fall for such an outrageous marketing gimmick is tantamount to buying a bridge in the Arizona desert.

Big Pharma and some physicians seem to be targeting younger and younger prey. At a recent party, a woman in her fifties gleefully told me that her plastic surgeon had agreed to begin using paralyzing injections on her 20-- something daughter in hopes that the daughter would not have wrinkles when she was 50. Let’s see, if the daughter uses injections regularly for at least 25 years, her bank balance will be substantially lower but what about her face?

The evidence that regular use of paralyzing injections will stop further wrinkles has not been found; rather, the consensus is that when the forehead is paralyzed, little bunny lines develop alongside the nose, especially when smiling. And, muscles will continue to elongate whether they are paralyzed or not. Injections and surgery will not stop atrophy. In fact, certain studies demonstrate that facial muscles will elongate about one half inch by the time a person reaches their 55th birthday.

Cosmetic enhancements in the form of injections are costly, but what about their effect on your good health? Could a small amount of a deadly toxin have long-term consequences? How many years can one body withstand the barrage of a neurotoxin before evident side effects appear?

The contraindications of muscle inhibiting drugs are many and they range from a simple headache, loss of feeling and redness at the injection site to even death as an extreme, but what about the results? It wasn’t too long ago that an aesthetician showed me her disastrous results from a simple paralyzing injection. This highly-trained professional has worked under a plastic surgeon for almost 30 years and in the blink of an eye, he missed the mark and she is wearing a droopy eyebrow and eyelid that makes her look distressed and very old.

The bottom line here is this: The emphasis should be on beauty, but it’s not because man-made toxic injections cannot create the contoured, lifted and younger looking faces you typically see in advertisements. Rather, injections that paralyze muscles contribute to a misshapen face over time and there are no guarantees that you will look younger, but you will look done if you continue to use injections to prop up a sagging face. And those bunny lines? Well, they are going to deepen and become woefully apparent as time goes on.

There are many “injection junkies”, especially those men and women in the entertainment business. A career in front of the camera demands a taut forehead, no lines and wrinkles around the eyes and the nasal labial folds to be filled on a regular basis. Some celebs are very young and at an early age, they are encouraged to use enhancements and before long, they, too, are a product of their environment that dictates the use of unnatural substances. Now injections plump, paralyze and change the face forever.

After years of patronizing multiple doctors who gladly administered these injections, celebrities and others are choosing an alternative that relieves them of the need for repeat injections.

What is the secret alternative? Why facial exercise, of course. “I was a facial injection ‘junkie’ years ago before I discovered facial exercise,” says Jackie Silver, founder and president of AgingBackwards.com. “Thank goodness for this easy routine – it really IS magic! I have restored my face to the way it looked at age 25 using only exercises. I haven’t had any injections in years and I look like myself, only younger.”

Most people just do not realize how powerful facial exercise can be to stop a droopy, lined forehead, sculpt cheeks and the jaw line and generally lift a sagging, aging face, but when they discover how easy the movements are to execute and how quickly those small, facial muscles respond to the isometric contractions, injections can become a thing of the past.

Why spend money needlessly and put your body at risk? Once you learn how to implement an exercise routine into your lifestyle, you will become a believer that facial exercise will save your face and help you to look younger than you thought possible. This knowledge can empower you and your daughters while saving them from the heartbreak and disappointment of relying on needles and expensive, unnatural avenues that may or may not provide them the youthful look they are seeking.

Without drugs, side effects or complications, facial exercise can help you look 5 – 10, even 15 years younger in just weeks.

Save your face and tell your daughter that she, too, can maintain beauty and grace with a youthful appearance and a recognizable face for years and years to come using natural isometric exercise.
