Panasonic P101 is a good addition to Panasonic’s range of budget smartphones. The phones have attractive features and benefits and the cameras of the phone are good. The cost of the phone is exciting considering all the benefits it provides. Display and body This phone has a large display with a 5.45-inch touchscree IPS LCD display. The screen resolution is 480 x 960 pixels with a pixel density of 197 PPI. It has an aspect ratio of 18:9 and screen-to-body ratio of 71.55 %, thus making watching a movie an enjoyable experience. The light body of this Panasonic mobile ensures that it is easy to carry around, despite the size of the screen. The weight of the phone 145 g and the thickness of the body is at 9.2 mm. This is really lightweight considering the large screen size. The phone comes in three colors of black, gold and blue. The phone can be carried around without much trouble due to the large size. Software and connectivity The phone is powered by a Quad-core processor with a MediaTekMT6739 chipset running at 1.3 GHz. The powerful processor works to provide fast performance with zero software glitch with a 2 GB RAM. The phone is a dual SIM phone and both are micro-SIM. The phone has an Android Nougat operating system running multiple apps at the same time. The phone has good storage capacity with 16 GB inbuilt memory which is expandable with a micro-SD card up to 128 GB. Battery and special features The battery provided with this phone works well for multitasking with average to good playback time on movies. It can run all day performing tasks, and the powerful battery comes at no extra weight. This handset comes with special features such as an accelerometer, which can detect the horizontal and well as vertical acceleration of the device. An OTG allows one to access exte al memory drives as well as memory cards. The Panasonic P101 comes with smart options to make life simpler. The smart option enables the person to unlock the screen with the assigned letters of the app that they are looking for. What does this mean” For example, if one is using Gmail all the time, they can assign a letter for Gmail and then draw the letter on the screen to open Gmail directly, instead of trying to spot the icon and tap on it. IF Gmail has G as the letter assigned, one can open the app with G drawn on the screen. This can be repeated with all apps.
