Sometimes our busy schedule does not allow us to sit and think about how life works because we are too busy living it. There is a natural flow to life; it is about our energy, the energy that surrounds us and that which we choose to absorb.
I refer to everything in life as yin and yang. Everything has energy and some energy vibrations are louder or stronger than others. Energies can either compliment or not compliment other energies. To me, yin and yang means completion only when the energies are complimentary to each other or they balance each other out. Energy is all around us; constantly moving, shifting and changing.
During your typical day do you realize how much energy you possess? Are you aware of how much energy surrounds you?
When energies complement each other: This is when life is at its best! This is a time when your mate is in perfect tune with you and it equals harmony. This is when your best friend finishes your sentence because you are both on the same wavelength. This is also a time when team work is at its best because all of the energies are harmoniously working together, creating. This is a time when all the energies move freely and complement each other. To me, this is yin and yang working together to form completion.
When energies are different: When energies combine and they are different from one another, there is a balance. This is yin and yang because they balance each other out. This is how life’s flow is meant to work. This is how good and evil exist. This is how the circle of life flows in humans and in the animal kingdom. People, animals and nature all have to maintain a cycle of balance. Some are done naturally while others get helped along. In the animal world its balance comes from hunter and prey and an established pecking order. In nature a lot of this is controlled by our weather and soil; which is helpful and sometimes harmful. Our landscape is moving and shifting and contains energy fields. The common denominator in all of this is that all living things have a life span.
Yin and yang energy is so powerful and it is constantly moving and feeding off of the energy that surrounds it. It is in every living thing and it relates to thought processes and actions. A person that has positive energy, their energy will become even more powerful when it interacts with another positive energy source. A prime example of this is when a person takes a walk in the woods, a walk on the beach or comes in contact with another person or animal with a positive energy force. All of nature is a powerful energy source. This is what soothes the mind, body and soul.
If there is a person who has positive energy and they come across a person with negative energy, it will depend on which energy is the strongest. If it is a very powerful negative energy, walk away or it will drain the positive energy. Are you going to stay with someone who compliments you or degrades you? Are you going to stay in the job where there is progress or no progress? Are you going to waste your time stressing your point of view on someone who’s not open minded enough to visualize it? Lastly, are you going to keep on absorbing negative energy around you until it drains all of your positive energy?
The important thing to realize is that you are energy! You make the important decision on a moment to moment basis whether it will be positive or negative energy. Whatever energy you decide to be, it will reflect in the people and the situations that surround you. It will either be complimentary or not complimentary to other energy which surrounds you.
Recently, there was a discussion during a Healing Crystal Class whether the color of a healing crystal should match the color of a chakra. I said, “Yin and yang.” I elaborated, it should not match the color of the chakra, too much of the same, it will not complement each other and the power will weaken considerably. If the colors were different, the energies feed off of each other making them more powerful. Opinions vary on this, but I believe there is no right nor wrong, it is all about timing and energy, which in constantly changing.
As my world widens, my appreciation for energy is growing and my thirst for more knowledge in how it works continues to grow through learning about Chakras, Reiki, Crystals and Acupuncture. When all things are done through love and light and good intention, your energy will always be complimentary.
