After a quiet period of uncertain growth trends over the past few months, the upcoming general elections are finally expected to push the revenue growth of the news channels across various regions by 30%.While the channels have already geared themselves up with some special shows and ground coverage by special reporters, they have also started working towards revising their ad rates in the same context. Studies and estimates have confirmed that channels are revising the ad rates by 30%-50% for the election period and they have even secured some standalone sponsors for their exclusive election coverage during the same time period.
