Neechabhanga Raja yoga expands the significance of the neecha(debilitated) planets. The maha Dasha or Antar Dasha of the planet which creating Neechbhanga Raj Yoga demonstrates cancellation of debilitation of a debilitated planet which then does not incline to generate unfavorable results during its Dasha & produces good outcomes.

The Sun, the Moon, Mars, Mercury, Jupiter, Venus, Saturn, Rahu, and Ketu become debilitated in Libra, Scorpio, Cancer, Pisces, Capricorn, Virgo, Aries, Pisces, and Virgo signs respectively. A debilitated planet is too unstable to produce good results signified by it. If a planet is neecha or in debilitation, it provides bad results.

Neech planets, because of their embedded shortcoming, give unfair outcomes during their dashas, only when their neechbhanga happens that their debilitation giving rise to a benefic circumstance gives good outcomes. By relating with other good yoga-causing debilitated planets, actually, hurt the consequence of these yogas caused by those planets.

Thus, if owners of the 9th and the 10th bhavas from the 1st house conjoin and if any one of them is in its debilitation sign or associates with a planet occupying its debilitation sign or the lord of the 8th, there will be Rajayoga change, which means there will be Raja yoga in the beginning but which effect will soon wear out.

The term Neechabhanga indicates the cancellation of debilitation. This composite word is a combination of two Sanskrit words - neecha, meaning "debilitated", and bhang, meaning "annulled".

The debilitation of a planet gets canceled if its disposition of the lord of its sign of exaltation occupies a Kendra from the ascendant or the Moon or if it is aspected by either its disposition or its exaltation lord or it exchanges sign with its disposition or if it is aspected by another planet in debilitation. It is an impenetrable situation.

If the lord of the house is occupied by a debilitated planet is in a Kendra or in a trikona from the Lagna or the moon-chart.

If the planet that gets exalted in the sign where a planet is debilitated is in a Kendra from the Lagna or The moon chart, of a planet, is debilitated and is aspected by its exaltation lord.

If the planet that gets exalted in the house in which the debilitated planet is located, aspects the debilitated planet.

The debilitated planet is exalted in the navamsa. If a debilitated planet is aspected by another debilitated planet or by its own disposition.

The lord of the navamsa is occupied by the debilitated planet is in a Kendra or a trikona from the Lagna which rises in a movable sign or the lord of the Lagna is in a movable sign.

Raja yoga arises only if the debilitated planet has the lordship of a benefic house occupies a center house in a benefic and friendly sign otherwise its debility is not eliminated and regains its power.

Neechabhanga Raja yoga arises when the disposition and the owner of exaltation sign of a planet in debilitation, both, go on to occupy a Kendra from Lagna or the Moon.

Thus, the causation of this yoga is attributed to these two lords i.e. the disposition of the lord of the sign of debilitation of the planet in debilitation and the lord of the sign of exaltation of the planet in debilitation.
