The coastal region just below the border of France is called Costa Brava.It's well-known for its lovely sand beaches and every year it's one of the most touristic places in the summer in Europe.The Costa Brava is the region from Blanes to the border with France.The good climate during the summer and the amazing beaches make the Costa Brava an ultimate holiday destination.I'd like to present you some of the best beaches.
The beach of Pals
The beach of Pals or Playa de Pals is very popular by tourists who like to play beach games or for everybody who wants to practice water sports.This beach is about 2 miles long and 40 yards in width.The beach of Pals has rocky coves and nice golden sand.This beach is perfect for families.There is a special section for nudists.
The beach of Castell
The beach of Castell is near Palamós.This beach is more quiet than many of the beaches in Costa Brava because it escaped the development of nowadays tourism.The beach has impressive coves on both sides and consists of nice golden sand.Most of the visitors are locals and people living in Barcelona.
Cap de Creus

It's backed by a pedestrian promenade with shops, bars and restaurants.The sand is a bit gritty, so not very ideal for making sandcastles.A lot of Catalans have a second home close to this beach.On the beach you can also rent a motorboat or kayak.
Playa de Canadell
The beach of Canadell in Calella de Palafrugell.Many local families visit this beach regularly.The beach spreads along half a dozen sandy coves interspersed with rocks and connected to each other by promenades.The beache has a nice atmosphere with fishing and many restaurants and bars.This beach is mainly visited by teenagers.
Between the Costa Brava area and Barcelona the public transport is organized very well.Whenever you're in Barcelona it's very nice to make trip to the Costa Brava.
