There are a lot of teachings out there about how to manifest what we desire in our lives. And it’s so easy to get caught up in it all and want to be able to manifest, but it doesn’t always work the way we want it and we often find ourselves wondering what went wrong and why we still don’t have the life we want.

Desire is a tricky thing. And we can sometimes confuse desire with neediness. We want something so badly that we forget to let it go so that the universe can do its work. That’s neediness.

Desire is when we want to see something in our lives and then we let go of the outcome of it. We put the intention out to God or the universe and then we give the space necessary for it all to happen.

Neediness is when we hang on to the desire so tightly that we try to control everything and everyone in order to make it come to fruition. We think we have control over. But guess what? We don’t. We are helpless to do anything about whether something happens or it doesn’t, whether we get what we want or not.

So the most important aspect of manifesting our desires is having the courage to let them go, to feel unattached to whether they are created or not, to allow it to evolve as it is meant to.

On the other hand, it is a good idea to be aware that the answer to our prayers is not always what we are expecting. We may ask for a wonderful new relationship to come into our lives so we can feel loved. And we end up more alone than ever. What we don’t realize is that what the universe has sent us is a better solution to what we’re looking for.

Because loneliness can bring us into ourselves to look at why we feel this way and then discover a way to find the love within ourselves. And when that occurs, the possibilities are endless, our opportunities are limitless and all because we no longer need them to even happen.

When we desire something we are usually looking for a feeling more than an outward solution. Looking at our desires from this different perspective, at the deeper meaning behind them, we can find the answers in our hearts, not in the world.

Everything that we desire is always within us. There is no need to look into the world. And when we discover this to be true, the world will greet us with all that we desire anyway.

Go figure!

Have a great week of living the possibilities within.
