Mahadevappa Rampure Medical College

The medical College was decided to establish under the institute of Hyderabad Karnataka Education Society which was established in 1958 by MahadevappaRampure and is sustained with the same. M R Medical College was the second private college in the country to get recognition from MCI after KMC, Manipal in 1972, has the vision for the upliftment of the quality of medical education and to reach it to the rural community. The college and its teaching hospital cater health needs of many rural people in effective and cost-friendly custom. The college also developed the Urban Family Welfare Centre for the discussions to offer folks quality health and optimum training facilities for students.

M R Medical College is currently affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences (RGUHS) and recognized by the Medical Council of India (MCI). 

Courses Offered 
Undergraduate Medical Courses
The UG Medical courses offered by M R Medical College is Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) with a duration of 41/2 years followed by one-year internship. The annual seat intake is 150. 
Post Graduate Medical Courses
The PG medical courses offered by M R Medical College are Doctor of Medicine (MD) and Master of Surgery (MS). The duration of PG medical courses is 3 years.

NEET UG eligible candidates to take MBBS admission has to register for counselling process as per the schedules declared by KEA to secure a seat in MahadevappaRampureMedical College. The allotment of seats will be through the NEET rank of the candidates. 
PG Medical Course Admission Process
The process of counselling for Postgraduate Medical Courses will be conducted by the Karnataka Education Authority (KEA). NEET PG eligible candidates to take PG medical admission has to register for counselling process as per the schedules declared by KEA to secure a seat in MRMC, Kalaburgi. The allotment of seats will be through the NEET rank of the candidates. 

Teaching Hospital 
• M R Medical College has two teaching hospital facilities: Basaveshwara Teaching and General Hospital Gulbarga, and Sangameshwara Teaching Hospital Gulbarga. 
• Basaveshwara Teaching Hospital is facilitated with 850 beds, with all the modern equipment.
• Free eye camps and Community level Health Camps are conducted voluntarily. 
• SangameshwaraTeaching Hospital is facilitated with 60 beds and well developed Neonatal Intensive Care and is a referral hospital of MRMC for Mother and Child Care.
