America's independence did not come on a silver platter. In a similar way our personal successes would not materialize if we are not willing to pay the prize for their attainment. In the Audio book Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill,it is stated that in spite of the fact that we all remember July 4th and the events surrounding it, little do we remember that the principles
that gave America her independence are the very same principles that are essential for personal success.

Let's look at a few of the key ingredients of success that made up the recipe for independence

Desire is the key to the attainment of all goals, says Napoleon Hill. You would not be willing to put in the necessary efforts to achieve any goal unless you first develop a strong desire for
the attainment of such goals. The founding fathers had a burning desire for independence and that is why they were able to go the extra mile in their quest for independence for the colonies.

Of all the principles behind the founding fathers' push for independence, Decision could be cited as the master key to American Independence. It was the decision of 56 strong men to put their signatures to a document that they knew would either bring independence to the colonies or leave all of them hanging from the gallows that created the success story that is represented in the three letters, the U-S-A! Luckily, most of us do not have to stake our lives to achieve our dreams but yet, everyone who desires success must be willing to decide once and for all that she would be willing to pay the price for the attainment of her goals.

Behind the great decision of the founding fathers to seek independence for America was the bed rock of faith. Yes faith is indeed the corner stone to every success. The American story may sound very romantic now or even fool proof but it certainly did take a lot of courage beyond measure decide to create a prototype of a republic based on the mantra Life liberty and the pursuit of Happiness. There was no single model that the founding fathers could use to build this new United States but they learned from others and had the faith to use their knowledge of other systems and create their own unique system. In the same vein, you must have faith in creating the life you want to live no matter how ambitious it may seem at first.

The decision to seek independence did not in itself give independence to America, even though it play the most important role in the quest for sovereignty. This decision could only be implemented with perseverance. Indeed it was tough in more ways that we would be able to fathom today but the founding fathers stayed the course with their army of patriots. This is the same spirit that you need as an individual to be able to achieve your goals.

These then are a few of the key principles that brought Independence to the greatest nation on the face of the earth. These are the keys that opened the gates of freedom to let in the winds of change that happily blow that star spangled banner, O long may it wave o'er the land of the free and the home of the brave.

God bless America!
