Iskcon temples of India comprise those of Northern India, Southern India, Western India, Eastern India and parts of Central India. 'Iskcon' is the name of a religious movement which aims to promote 'Krishna consciousness', or identifies the 'Hare Krishna' movement in the country. The Iskcon temples of India are built to commemorate the spiritual teachings of Lord Krishna in the holy text of the Hindus, called 'Bhagavad Gita'. The philosophy of 'Bhakti Yoga' is implemented in the devotional services of these temples.
