Is Your Child Intuitive? Psychic? Or Have Medium Abilites?

Do you have children with “different” abilities? If you are new to the idea of sensitive children or indigo children, you may need to know the difference between intuitive, psychic and medium abilites.

Many children coming into the world now are coming with an acute sense of awareness. Not only with with physical things, but with meta-physical things. By that, I mean the children are seeing with their spiritual eyes. They feel with their spiritual senses; they even hear with spiritual ears.

I know, for some of you that doesn’t always make sense. But when you realize that humans are not only physical beings but have spirit and mind, you can understand that there are perceptions on those other levels too. The mind and the spirit also have awareness.

Have you ever looked at someone speaking at a convention or at a presentation? Usually you just see the person: the physical body of the person speaking. You see the clothes he is wearing, the way he combs his hair, the movements and gestures he uses while he talks. That’s normal. We think nothing about it. We have become so used to only seeing with physical eyes, we have forgotten to see any other way.

But sometimes, if you are really intent on what he is saying and have a special sense of connection with what his message is, you gaze at him. Your focus changes to the message, so your mind kicks in as the main receptor. Your eyes shift into another, softer awareness. You are open to the fullness of who is speaking. Then a halo starts to shine around him. It is seen easier, if there is a solid color drape or curtain behind him. This, of course, is the aura. It’s always been there. But only now are you able to be aware of it.

Another example: have you ever gone into a large room of people? You see everyone. But you also have a feeling that something is wrong. You don’t really know what it is, but it just doesn’t feel right. After you decide to leave, you find out there was some kind of trouble there. Your awareness to this feeling kept you from being in the trouble.

These types of things, our children are seeing, feeling and sensing most of the time. It isn’t just once in awhile, like you have gotten it. They are just tuned into the higher frequency all the time.

So just what does it mean to be intuitive? Psychic? Mediumistic, especially as it pertains to children? All these abilities can be grouped into a general category: being psychic. Even though psychic means a specific thing, it is used to describe all the meta-physical abilities. Let me share a few things to look for according to these different abilities.

Intuitive:

To know something with no outside knowledge of it is being intuitive. Being intuitive is a subtle way of reaching into energy fields unconsciously to know information and understand things around you. It is so subtle that we usually explain it away. We all have this ability. But our children are totally connected with this ability all the time.

Our children are always flowing through their experiences, connected with a higher intelligence. Their minds do not have to process, they just receive. Sometimes it is difficult to associate what is going on with the child, if you don’t acknowledge what intuition is in your own life.

Psychic:

Psychic abilities is the next step of development beyond intuition. It is an awareness of intuitive information and a willingness to work with it in a more profound manner. You have to actually realize you are using it. There are third dimensional vibrations rooted in the earth plane and are easily accessed by psychic means. It can be strengthened over time, if applied.

Psychics access magnetic energy that comes from the human and non-human energy fields, also known as the aura. They connect through sensing or viewing energy patterns in the field, recognizing anything going on in the person’s life. The life energies of the past are there as well as potential possibilities being implemented in the higher realms, through intention and goal setting.

All people have a degree of psychic ability, as just explained with intuition. Some are aware of it and some are not.

Do you ever go to answer the telephone and already know who is calling (provided you don’t look at your caller ID)? Do your dreams come true, even occasionally?

Have you ever felt like someone is looking at you at the grocery store, and when you turn around, a person down the aisle is staring at you? These are examples of psychic abilities. It is simply knowing or sensing something without having other knowledge of it, or being able to logically explain how you know.

The psychic works with the energy vibrations of a person or place. This is connecting with slower, earthly frequency vibrations. Psychics are in touch with the earthly vibrations of living people, especially those of close friends or relatives. This also includes being aware of spirit entities trapped or staying in the astral dimension, which is closest to us as third dimensional beings.

Our children may be seeing and recognizing lower entities that have had difficulty advancing in their progress into the spirit realm. Some of these entities like to play with us, if the know we can see them. A child needs to know he can refuse to communicate with that entity and tell it to go away.

Also, being psychic, a child will know uncanny information about events in the world and about you. He does not know how invasive that can be to your personal vibration. This is when the child needs to learn personal boundaries, not only for himself but for the dignity of others.

Mediumship:

In comparison to being psychic, a medium works with spirit energy, or a lighter frequency than the earth plane, and connects with spirit, usually loved ones that have died, spirit guides and higher entities. Psychics are not always mediums, but mediums can also be psychic.

Mediumship is being aware of the vibrations of spirit beings, and receiving messages from them. It is the communication of a deceased loved one through an intermediary. The information is then given to those who are grieving the loss.

The main purpose is to provide recognition of continuing life after the physical death, and to send love and encouragement.

Connecting with the crown chakra (or seventh energy system) at the top of the head, a bridge is built to the higher levels or planes of existence.

By building this bridge, an association is made with visions, imagination, and spiritual awakening. It enables you to empower your spiritual path. This opens you to integrity in becoming responsible in your communication dealings.

Association with the higher realms also plants a firm foundation for the connection with finer vibratory entities and spirit teachers. Lower level energies will not be attracted to you, since you have established your connection with higher vibrations.

Other reasons spirit beings open communication with the living are to give evidential information only acknowledged by those still in the body. They create outward activities perceived by humans in a physical manner.

These activities are often recognized as paranormal activity. They manifest in physical form to be identified. Just because the child sees and communicates with spirits, does not mean he is a medium. It only means he has mediumistic tendencies. These abilities need to be honed, practiced and mentored, to be understood and used properly.

Many young children who recognize spirits, see them all the time and can be very overwhelmed by it. Many professional mediums, on the other hand access the spirit world at specific times, on purpose. The child can learn to open and shut their abilities as needed.

There are many differences between parents who don’t really understand what is going on and their children who don’t know how to explain it. The more you can read and study and question your children, the easier it is for all concerned. Always be supportive and let your children know you are there for them.
