For intermittent fasters, office is never a good place to do that.

The office environment can easily break your fast. Birthdays are almost celebrated every week, tempting snacks are so easy to get, and you are usually persuaded to eat more due to colleagues’ sharing.

Does all indicate that intermittent fasting doesn’t work for office workers? Definitely no. Intermittent fasting is fit for nearly everyone and it’s beneficial for weight loss and metabolism boosting.

Don’t worry. Office workers are also allowed to do intermittent fasting as long as the following tips are grasped.

Tip#1. Determine an intermittent fasting plan compatible with your office schedule.

Basically, to start intermittent fasting in a better way, a plan should be selected fit for your office schedule so that no obvious clashes won’t be caused to reduce your persistence and confidence.

Tip#2. Ask for advice from your doctor.

Anyone should remember this tip before doing intermittent fasting. It even matters more if you are suffering from underlying diseases or intaking some medicine.

Tip#3. Don’t drive yourself too hard.

There are no rigorous restrictions on the foods you can eat during intermittent fasting. Of course, it’s suggested that you should eat low-carb and healthy foods.

Tip#4. Don’t focus on the result too much.

For intermittent fasting beginners, it’s more important to get your body to constantly get used to your new lifestyle than anything else. Don’t expect too much for your final result.

Tip#5. Try to arrange your eating window to be at your office hour.

If you select a 16:8 intermittent fasting plan, the eating 8 hours can be set to be at your office. As such, you don’t feel so depressed by office foods. If you select a 5:2 intermittent fasting plan, however, it’s suggested your fasting can be done at weekend with the least disturbance.

Tip#6. Allow yourself for slipups.

It’s quite common to meet slip-ups for intermittent fasting beginners. Don’t be too harsh to yourself. It’s OK to restart your fasting at any time.

Tip#7. Clarify why you do intermittent fasting.

Intermittent fasting has a lot of advantages, but you should know what leads you to do that. Weight loss? Risk reduction of diseases? Immunity boosting? The specific target helps you better and more easily stick to fasting.

Tip#8. Stick to healthy diet.

Intermittent fasting will work better if you eat and drink in a healthy way. Try to eat low-carb and high-protein foods or eat foods with high omega-3. Apart from pure water, other healthy drinks are also acceptable including black coffee, tea, lemon water, etc.

If you can’t break your appetite to the foods that aren’t so healthy, like pizzas, try to cook pizzas in a weight loss friendly way.
