Improving brain power can be started by simply giving yourself enough sleep and rest at night. This may seem apparently obvious but it is also probably the simplest step you can take. Let me put it like this. If you are feeling tired, your brain is most likely not going to function well. I recommend that you give yourself at least 8 hours of sleep every night. That is what the doctors recommend too. Some people will argue that it is better to sleep early and wake up early while others swear on being night owls. I am just going to tell you to choose the option that will work best for you, as long as you give yourself 8 hours of uninterrupted rest.

The next step you can try out is taking on challenging puzzles or games. These will cause you to think deeper and work your brain. Now, do not worry if you find that you are unable to solve the puzzle. What matters is that you give your brain a good work out and mental exercise. I can honestly say that until today, I have not solved the Rubik’s cube yet.

Lastly, improving brain power can be done by more doing tasks with your non-dominant hand. Are you so used to using the mouse on your right hand? Try using it on your left hand instead. This will force your brain to try and adapt to a new habit which was previously not registered among its brainwaves.
