Through the nutrition we get, the body gets used to a certain energy level. When we go on a diet, we tend to eat too little food.

Now the strategy is likely to backfire. Over time, the body would send starvation signals to the brain. One then tends raid the fridge at midnight. This may at times be unhealthy eating and may result in a few added pounds around the waist.

Is it possible to beat these hunger pangs? Let's take a look at some ways that help you manage hunger pangs healthily.

1. GO FOR A HEARTY BREAKFAST

Breakfast happens to be the most important meal for the day. It provides you with energy at the time you need it the most. If you skip breakfast, you might find yourself binging later in the day. So, one must always make sure that a meal is rich in spicy aromas. For the same, you could add ginger, cayenne, turmeric or chili powder to your meals.

4. KEEP A CHECK ON YOUR SUGAR INTAKE

When you must go for high sugar foods, make sure that you do so as a part of an entire meal. Corn syrup, honey, maltose, corn sweeteners are just some of the substitutes of sugar.

Some of the best variants in this regard are fruits, veggies, nuts, seeds and low fat dairy products. Servings made using these variants are likely to comprise of up to 100 calories.

7. EATING SLOWLY

If one eats slowly, it results in a higher sense of fullness and may work towards reducing hunger pangs.
