There are four personality types you will run into while building your network marketing business.
By first understanding your own personality type and then understanding the
best way to interact with other personality types, you will become a much more
effective network marketer, and find it easier to succeed in network marketing.
Understanding the four personality types, and knowing the best way to communicate with others will not only help you in building your network marketing business, but it will also help you in every other aspect of your life.
Once you harness the power of this information you will be more effective in
your personal and business relationships.
It is important to understand that we all have a little bit of each of the four personality types in us, but one of them is our dominant personality type or our preferred method of behavior.
Here is a general overview of the four personality types:
1. Red Sharks - These people are more closed and direct in their
communications and interactions. They tend to like to be in control
and to tell others what to do but they do not like to be told what to do.
You need to be direct and to the point when dealing with Red Sharks. If you
beat around the bush or look like you do not have your stuff together, a Red
Shark will lose patience with you.
2. Blue Dolphins - These people are open and direct in their communications and interactions.
They are motivated by having fun and being the center of attention.
You have to show Blue Dolphins the big picture. If you are too detailed and
long-winded a Blue Dolphin will get bored with your presentation and lose interest.
3. Yellow Whales- These people are open and indirect in their
communications and interactions. They love to help people and they have BIG hearts.
If you try to get right into business with a Yellow Whale you may come
across as too pushy or overbearing.
4. Green Urchins - These people are closed and indirect in their
communications and interactions. They are very factual, love to be right more than
anything else, and hate to make mistakes.
Green Urchins are very factual people and slow to make decisions. This is why
they tend to become obsessed with research and gathering information so that
they can feel like they are making a good and right decision.
