All the settings will be reset that means I have to run the setup process again? It is so annoying. Is there any way to set up this thing up in a simple way?
Yes! We do have an easy method for the Netgear extender setup process and that is the WPS method.
To install your range extender using the WPS (Wi-Fi Protected Setup) method:
- Press the WPS button on your range extender.
- Keep holding it for a few seconds.
- When the WPS LED on the front panel of your range extender starts blinking, release the button.
- Within a minute, push the WPS button on your main wireless router, gateway, or the access point (AP) as well.
If your main router supports the 5GHz band, just repeat the 1st step to connect your range extender to the 5GHz band successfully.
