How To Update The Latest Firmware on Netgear WiFi Range Extender

• Log in to your range extender via mywifiext.net web address.
• Once you are logged in successfully, please click on the menu icon.

Now, you can access the firmware update page:

• On most Netgear models, select the 'Settings' option and after that, 'Firmware Update' (without quotes).

Note: If that option is not visible, select 'Maintenance' and then 'Firmware Upgrade' (without quotes).

• Click on either the 'Check Online' or 'Check' option (without quotes).

If the new firmware is available to be updated, follow the on-screen prompts and update the Netgear extender's firmware with the latest version.

How to log into Netgear WiFi range extender?

• Open a new browser on your connected device.

Note: If your Netgear extender and the existing WiFi router use different SSIDs, type www-mywifiext-net or mywifiext.net into the address field of your web browser.
If your router and the extender uses the same network name (SSID), type 192.168.1.250 into the browser’s address bar field.

• Tap the Enter key on your keyboard.

A login page will display.

• Type in your username and password.
• Click on Log In.

The Status page will display.

Select 'Settings' (without quotes) to view and adjust your range extender’s settings.
