The genital warts may have whitish appearance or may look like small flesh colored or cauliflower bumps. These warts can be seen in the genital area. The genital warts are caused by the sexual transmission of HPV (Human Papilloma Virus). This virus is the most popular sexually transmitted disease that infects millions of people each year but many infected men and women do not realize that they are carrying this virus because warts never develop in their body.

After the HPV reaches to a person, he gets infected by this virus. The infection caused by this virus results in the symptoms of warts growing in the body of that person. These warts may be observed in few weeks also or in a few months also. Some warts may be large but the others may be small and the smaller warts may be too smaller that one cannot see those warts with the naked eyes. The doctors can see these warts when they apply acetic acid on the genital region and then swab it. In the beginning stage, these warts are small and painless and some warts are so small that one cannot see the warts with the naked eyes. The small size of these warts and their occurrence without pain does not worry people and they do not take it seriously. Sometimes it may also be possible that the person is not aware about the warts he has on his body. These warts can give an itchy feeling and more serious problems such as vaginal discharge, and bleeding can also be observed.

The symptoms of the genital warts may include gray or pink colored lumps, swelling appearing around the genital region that grows quickly, burning sensation appearing around the genital region, discomfort, pain, severe itching, and bleeding etc. The first symptom of warts in many women may be the abnormal Pap smear. To diagnose warts in these women, their cells are examined and this examination would diagnose her exposure to the HPV. Based on the results of this examination, a health expert would recommend another testing.

Treatment of the wartsr
The symptoms may be different in different patients suffering from the genital warts and so the treatment of this problem should begin only after the warts are diagnosed properly by a good doctor. There are some strong chemicals used in those medicines that are given to the patients suffering from the warts to eliminate warts but if these medicines are not used with precision then these strong chemicals could also result in irritation in the area showing warts. So to use medicines with precision, a good doctor should supervise the treatment and prescribe the medicine for the warts. Sexual contact should also be avoided if one of the two partners has active warts because the virus may go to the unaffected partner also from the affected partner in sexual relation and so it also advised by the expert doctors to avoid the sexual contact in such situations. Sexual relation between the partners can be safe only when the warts are treated or removed or the partners engage sexually using the condom.

The probability of the successful treatment is higher if the warts are diagnosed in the beginning stages so never avoid the observation of any symptoms of the warts and contact with the doctor immediately if you see such symptoms.
