Introduction

IGNOU has provided various courses and programs for students who want to gear with knowledge and prepare for a bright future. This is an open university that is based on flexible education and courses that are based on job in the real world.

About exams in IGNOU

Exams are conducted after the end of the term for each and every course and program offered by the University. After submitting all the assignments that are related to the course and which are demanded, students are advised to fill the exam forms which are compulsory for every student enrolled in the University. However, students should also note that if they have not completed and submitted the assignments will not be allowed to appear for the exams and will not be issued hall tickets either.

Exam fees

Every student will have to pay the examination fee of Rs. 60/- per course for the course practical and also for the theory. The last date of receiving the forms for examination is 31st March 2012. If students do not pay the exam fee by this day, late fee is charged by the University to provide them with fresh exam forms. Amount of Rs. 300/- will have to be paid as late fee by 1st April 2012 to 20th April. Students can also obtain exam forms online by following the rules that are necessary for submitted forms online and fees to be paid.

Mode of payment

Students can pay the fees by credit card, debit card, demand draft or cash payment.

Hall tickets

Hall tickets will be issued only after the fees are paid and students can get those two weeks before commencement of the term – end exam.

On-demand exam

IGNOU has newly launched the ‘walk in examinations’ which helps students choose their own exam date if they are ready to face the exam or if they do not like to wait for completion of six-month term. Students will have to pay an amount of Rs. 100 for the on-demand exam online by credit card, cash challan or bank draft in the favor of “IGNOU”, to be paid at New Delhi.
