The Dilemma. Joy is being robbed and stolen from us, from the entity of our soul, from the very life in us. Through circumstances, situations, and relationships, and circumstances, our reservoir of joy is dwindling day by day. The other day a friend shared with me how she lived in the dark world of drug addiction for years. There were negative things that impacted her life as a child. In her eyes, drugs provided an escape from those memories of abuse, low self-esteem, and troubles. In reality, drugs and alcohol cause an imbalance and release of chemicals which negatively affect the mind, body, and soul such as memory, thought processes, and normal biological functions. There are other culprits, such as bitterness and unforgiveness which create layers of hardness which cover and dampen joy. These joy robbers create short term and long term harm to oneself and to other individuals.

Outlook. Its time to live a fulfilled life. Tune into the breath inside you and find enjoyment within your existence. When we focus on the positive and be grateful for the things we have, then we intensify the joy inside of us. You may say I don't have anything, however, you have life and that's a lot. Life connects us to the greatness of God, with our existence being rooted in His divine nature. The inspiration in your existence is a fascinating process, with the oxygen, organs, veins, and all the things which function to make you: you.

Experience. My friend has been clean from drugs for over a decade now. She said one day she reached her limit and she was so sick and her life was falling apart. She got down on her knees and prayed for God's help. She kept praying for help all during the day. She said her desire for the toxic substances was removed. She believes through her persistence and faith that God delivered her.

Solution. We all have joy inside of us. At times troubles and cares cast shadows, which cover our joy. When we keep the focus and faith in God then we enhance our natural state of living in joy. Joy promoters are love, peace, and understanding in every circumstance and situation. When we live in the present then we counteract darkness by allowing our natural innate rays of joy to shine out of the inner core in each and every one of us.
