In Florida, running a vending machine is a special kind of challenge, but he can also be a special kind of rewarding and profitable if you know what you’re doing. However, while most of Florida kind of looks the same, as someone who lives in the area, I’m going to admit that, different areas are very different culturally.

When it comes to a Lake Nona vending machine, you have a unique opportunity, or challenge, depending on how you look at it. Lake Nona is part of the metropolitan area of Orlando, along with Kissimmee in St. Cloud, and Orlando is a rather magical place in a lot of respects.

Lake Nona itself is also near a major college campus, and that also brings about some interesting opportunities, as college students are rather hungry for snacks most of the time. We’re just going to ignore a particular activity popular among college students that is often the reason for a desire for snacks, all right?

So, if you want to operate a Lake Nona snack machine, let’s understand the general Orlando area, and Lake Nona itself a little better.

College Students and Tourists

Here’s the thing, this general part of Florida is home to a lot of major tourist destinations. Among these are the various Disney attractions, Universal Studios, a whole host of water parks and a great many other things as well. When tourists travel from abroad to visit these, they rarely stay in downtown Orlando. The attractions and parks themselves offer amenities, but they tend to be very costly, so most middle-class families will often opt for a cheaper motel or hotel within a half hour’s drive or less. This means that they will be staying in Kissimmee, St. Cloud or Lake Nona. So, if you can play snack or vending machines near these hotels, you can maximize profitability due to the convenience they offer.

However, your biggest target is probably going to be college students. If you can place your Lake Nona vending machine or Lake Nona snack machine near any location that is popular among college students, or heck, on the campus itself, you are going to make a killing. College students love sugary snacks, sugary beverages, or healthy alternatives if you’re interested in trying that market.

They are woefully impatient people, due largely in part to the haste that a college life puts on them, and so they will definitely opt for the speed and convenience of a vending machine as well.

At the end of the day, your best bet is to try to aim for both of these, and maybe even aim for the theme parks, though those aren’t actually in Lake Nona itself. The more locations you have, the more profitability you will see, of course. However, I do understand that managing too many places across too much distance is going to occur a lot of overhead.

If you’re smart, you can make a good amount of money in Lake Nona with a vending machine. The tourists staying there and visiting the nearby theme parks, the college students in the nearby campus, if you know what you’re doing, it’s a gold mine.
