Breakups are hard and hurtful. You become insecure, lose your self-confidence, develop self-pity, and lose your positive energy. The worst thing is if these emotions are not managed well, you end up losing your composure and making desperate ways of getting the ex back. This should not be the case. All things take time to heal and so does the awful feelings brought about by breakups. You can still get back together without acting too frantic and degrading.

By knowing the four improper ways of making up, you will not scare off your ex and instead offer a chance of getting back together. Here’s what you need to avoid.

1. Never chase your ex.

The more you offer yourself to your ex, the more he or she will be terrified of you or worst hate you. Give time for you and your ex to think about the situation. Spend time with yourself so he or she will see how well you are able to cope up with the upsetting breakup. Show your ex that you could not care less about him or her and for sure they will be the ones running after you. So don’t fright your ex by flooding him or her with voice mails, phone calls, emails, and text messages. Stay relaxed and never give your ex the idea that you are head-over-heels in love with him.

2. Do not stalk your ex.

Stalking is a lot worse than chasing after your ex. When you stalk your ex, you follow his or her every move without them knowing it. If this gets worst, you end up forcing or abusing your ex to meet with you even though they do not want to. Do not stoop in this level just to win your ex back. If you do so, you will never be successful in getting him or her back and people might start avoiding you too.

3. Say No to depression.

It is normal to feel sad or cry over a break up for awhile. However, letting sadness and depression take over your life is no longer healthy. Do not let it conquer you. Allow the tragic circumstance in your life to make you strong enough to get back up. Ending a relationship with someone is not the end of the world. It might even be a new beginning for you and your ex.

4. Self-isolation is a big no-no.

Once you have broken up with someone, it is the best time to go out and socialize with your friends and new acquaintances. It does not mean you have to look for a new partner. It is one way of convincing your self and your ex that you can live and enjoy life without having him or her around.

Breaking up with someone you love dearly is a painful and terrifying experience. But that does not mean you have to live your life hurting. You can reverse your breakup.
