Dating is sometimes both easy and hard, so when you see a guy you like, you have to be willing to move fast. Knowing how to get a guy to want you is the key to taking advantage of the opportunities you have with single men. Though dating is not meant to be a game, there are still a few things that you can do in order to make the process easier; and perhaps even more successful.

Since guys are usually attracted by looks first, it’s important to be well groomed. It will be a good idea to consider the opportunity of attracting someone at any moment. Even if going to the grocery store, be sure to look attractive. You don’t have to wear ten-inch heels or a cocktail dress just to go grocery shopping. Simply make sure your hair is neat and your attire is fitting. Single guys go grocery shopping too! If you are in a group when you meet your guy, be sure to stand out. Be willing to leave the group if necessary.

You should also practice being a talker and not a ‘chatter box’. Move on to talk about things of mutual interest. Keep his focus and attention on you. Remember to keep him engaged in the conversation and ask him open-ended questions. Hint to him about getting together sometime in the near future to see if he takes the initiative to invite you out. When talking, it’s important to be humorous too! Guys love being able to joke around with women without running the risk of offending them. If you are the serious type, practice being more sociable. This will get you more iterated with jokes. Try to avoid taking jokes personally. Remember that jokes aren’t meant to be about you, they are meant to be funny! So laugh.

While you’re talking it up with your new prospect, try to get to know as much as you can about him, without being too pushy. If you are truly paying attention to the conversation, you’ll know what he’s open to conversing about; as well as what he prefers to discuss later. If you feel that he may suddenly tense, quickly change the topic of conversation. Try talking about yourself. This way, he will feel comfortable knowing that you have information to share as well.

Lastly, though it’s not good to play ‘hard to get’; you should still leave a lot to be desired. The objective is to intrigue him without exposing too much. Remember the idea is to get him on a date. If you tell all within the first ten minutes of the approach, what will you talk about later? Leave plenty for the date! You have all the time in the world, so there’s no need to rush. Let him get comfortable with you before you tell all of your secrets. However, be careful of being vague. Guys like to know things about the women they are dating.
