In part one of the article, you have read how to properly remove as much of the wine as you can, before it has dried. Also you have read why it is much better to use some natural products to remove the stain, instead of the commercial cleaners that are sold in most supermarkets. If you have decided to use a green cleaner, here is what you will need to do: The first thing that you will need to do, according to Reservoir cleaning company, is to find a big bowl. After that, take the silk garment and turn it inside out. Place the stained area over the bowl and make sure that you have properly stretched the garment over the bowl. Place the stain over the centre of the bowl. After that pour some tap water into a pot and boil it on the stove. When the water comes to boil, take the pot, really carefully, and pour the boiling water through the back of the stain, into the bowl. This way, the hot water will push the wine out of the fibres. If you do not turn the garment inside out, the stain will be setted deeper in by the hot water, so make sure you do not forget to do it. Now turn the garment back to normal and sprinkle some salt over the stain. Make sure that you have covered the entire stain. Gently work the salt into the stain with your fingers. Then shake off the salt. Cleaning Reservoir company says that you will have to repeat the procedure until all of the stain is gone, or no more can be removed. Now you will have to wash the silk item. It is best to hand wash it. The easiest way to do that is to first fill the sink with some warm water and then add some liquid detergent, which is appropriate for silk. Stir the water until suds form. After that put the silk item in the water and leave it to soak for about 30 minutes. Gently rub the area where the stain was and then drain the water. Rinse off the soapy water. Now you will have to dry the silk item. Do not put it in the dryer. The heat in the dryer might damage the fabric. The best way to dry silk items is to first lay it over a bathroom towel and roll it up in a roll. After that press the roll as hard as you can. Cleaning Reservoir company explains that this way you will press the water out of the silk and the towel will absorb it. After that, lay the silk item over another towel and leave it to air dry. Do not dry silk items in sunlight, because their colours will fade.
