Karma is in the foundation of all our relationships, and by knowing it’s science, the bricks of right understanding are laid down.

Role of Karma -
By understanding the karmic role, we can defeat the inner suffering for our lost loved ones.
So, what is the role of karma and runanubandha?
Any relationship we have with someone, including the closest of all, is a result of our past life karmic account with them. Son, daughter, wife, parents, pets, in-laws, etc. are those with whom we have owed some kind of emotional give and take in our past lives.

Hence, today they’ve ended up being in our close circuit. This is called runanubandha. The intensity of mental and emotional attachments we had with them over quite a few past lives decides our present level of runanubandha. And the attachment and abhorrence in this life acts as a catalyst in creating further karmic accounts with them for the next life.

The events taking place between us and our loved ones in this life are only for settling of karmic debts of our past lives. Once these debts are paid off, they depart to another life. The departure of our loved ones happens only when the karmic debt of our past life with them is cleared.
Thus, all outer interactions with them are like a discharge of karmas we have charged in the past. And our inner attachment and abhorrence for the person during these interactions leads to charging of new karmas to be experienced in future life.

Now, let’s know what is Prarabdha karma ?
What is Prarabdha Karma?
Be it, birth or death- both of these are solely dependent on our past life karma. Also, karma is a huge dictat that is responsible in unwinding of each and every circumstance in our life. These are called Prarabdha karma that govern our whole life!

How to Overcome the Pain of loss of our Loved one?
Prarabdha karma of the death of our loved one can’t be changed. However, by following Gnani’s teachings, one can easily come out of its suffering.

Param Pujya Dada Bhagwan has given a pragmatic approach to handle this inner hardship. He explains that when we grieve for our dead loved ones, those inner negative vibrations reach their Soul and make them unhappy. But instead, if we pray for their Souls’ salvation, the prayers reach them and they will be at peace. Also, as a result, they will progress further in their journey towards liberation. Our prayers and positive vibes make us peaceful as well. This gradually helps us come out of the suffering.

Know your real Self
Life doesn’t end with grieving the loss of our loved ones as there is more to it. The ultimate way of overcoming all kinds of grief and pain forever is to know more about our real Self. With Self-realization, all the confusions come to an end and a new beginning to freedom starts.

Human life is so precious as this is the only life form where one can realize their Soul, have internal happiness and attain Salvation. Thereupon, no situation can depress us or incur any kind of suffering within. In fact, we will be able to have equanimous relations with our loved ones with no karmic baggage binding us for the next life. Post Self-Realization, one gains permanent freedom from the numerous karmic entanglements and travels on the path to Ultimate Liberation.

This is possible only when the Gnani graces us with the divine spiritual vision in a special Self Realization Ceremony. When our Self-ignorance is destroyed by the light of Self-realization, we permanently break-free from the shackles of all our karmic debts with an everlasting bliss!
