We all know that God is divine!
So, to discover the treasure of divinity within us, we need to first discover God within us!
What is God?
Is God the creator of the Universe? or the ruler of the world? Or does God mean Lord Krishna? or Lord Mahavir? or Lord Rama?
Lord Mahavir, Lord Krishna, Lord Rama, and every Lord for that matter has said,
“This body is only the outer packing which is temporary and is bound to perish one day. The one which is within, in the form of an eternal element i.e the Supreme Soul, is whom we call God.”
God is the Pure Soul, an eternal element present in every living being!
This implies that God is within each one of us, in the form of a Pure Soul. However, the God within Lord Mahavir, Lord Rama, Lord Krishna, and every Enlightened being is awakened; and hence, in their mortal body, they have seen, known and experienced the immortal God!
How does God, the Pure Soul, look like?
The Soul cannot be seen, felt, or understood by any of our five senses, It can only be experienced, through its inherent properties.
The Soul has infinite properties, the major four being:
1. Infinite Knowledge
2. Infinite Vision
3. Infinite Strength
4. Infinite Bliss
The properties of the Soul is what makes God divine. So, if we wish to discover the treasure of divinity within us, we need to discover the properties of the Soul within us.
How do we do that??...
When we attain Self-Realization, the attentive awareness of the pure Soul establishes within!
Established Awareness of the Pure Soul Is Attained Through Grace of the Gnani
This is the most divine gift that Gnani, the Enlightened One, gives, in which He bestows the divine Vision that enables us to See the Pure Soul within us and within others too. The vision that was directed towards temporary things since time immemorial, the Gnani Purush directs it towards the permanent Soul, which never leaves from there again, thereafter.
Param Pujya Dada Bhagwan, the Enlightened being, describes this treasure of divinity:
“All that was seen until yesterday has gone, and something altogether new is now ‘Seen’ (through the divine vision graced by Gnani). One had been wandering for infinite lives, and all the relative (the worldly view) that was being seen has gone, and a new type of Real (the Soul) is starting to be Seen; that is the experience of the Self (the Soul is our real Self)! That which was visible has been made invisible, and that which was hidden from view has been made visible!
This established awareness of ‘I am pure Soul’ that sets in, the Lord has referred to it as the greatest thing of all.”
So priceless is this treasure of divinity that it generally never comes into one’s attentive awareness. And when it comes into one’s attentive awareness, then one becomes free from everything else. This is because total contentment resides in the pure Soul. Hence, the attentive awareness is pulled from everywhere else and it gets established in that which is beyond.
After attaining that attentive awareness, the naturally unfolding energies of the Self continue to increase, they continue to blossom. And it’s the state of the non-doer, because one is not the doer anymore. There was the state of doership before (prior to discovering the treasure of divinity), which has now become the non-doer state (on discovering the treasure of divinity). In this state, both absolute Knowledge and absolute Vision (the actual treasure of divinity) continue to expand to fullness!!
Thus,
Through the infinite eras of time cycle, we’ve accomplished infinite goals; but the goal of realizing ‘who am I’ has not been achieved. The true achievement lies in realizing ‘who am I’. Only upon attaining Knowledge of the Self (Self-Realization), can the attentive awareness of the Soul (the Self) be established.
So let’s go to Akram Gnani, the Enlightened One, and with his grace, directly attain Self-Realization, so that we too, like thousands of others, discover the treasure of divinity within us!
Ambalal M. Patel was a civil contractor by profession. In June 1958, spontaneous Self-Realization occurred within Ambalal M. Patel. From this point on, Ambalal became a Gnani Purush, and the Lord that manifest within him became known as Dada Bhagwan. A Gnani Purush is One who has realized the Self and is able help others do the same. Param Pujya Dada Bhagwan used to go from town to town and country-to-country to give satsang (spiritual discourse) and impart the knowledge of the Self, as well as knowledge of harmonious worldly interactions to everyone who came to meet him. This spiritual science, known as Akram Vignan, is the step-less path to Self-realization.
