No wonder they call it HOLIDAY IN BARCELONA: with so many bars what else could the town be called? Barcelona is great in the day with beautiful beaches around this city, in addition to the fantastic museums, galleries, shops and parks. It is simply too much to do in the day, especially on a beautiful day. There are even a lot of things to do at night in Barcelona and we discuss some ideas below.

First Visit the Magic Fountain of Montjuic and see one of the most amazing displays with fireworks to the sound of classical music. The free shows will take place in Plaça Espanya in the summer and winter evenings, usually on Fridays and Saturdays. Days and times vary though but you can find specific information from the local tourist office.

Go to a game of FC Barcelona. The Nou Camp is considered one of the most beautiful stadiums in the world of football. It holds almost 100,000 people and you can usually buy tickets for home games in Barcelona although the Champions League fixtures but are often sold in advance to book in advance.

Dine in a great restaurant called the Catalan restaurant. This is my favourite restaurant in Barcelona and the mix of reasonable prices, good service, good food and beautiful setting makes this place great to eat. This restaurant has been open since 1920 and can be found on Carrer d'Arago.

Strolling along the beach road during the summer months is great fun. It remains light until almost 10 PM and so you can enjoy a pleasant walk on a long beach on the road. There are also many bars and restaurants along the beach road so that it can be a very nice area to spend an evening. The morning around 1 AM or 2 am is when this area can become a bit noisy with all the. If you are young and want to party all night this is the perfect place.

A HOLIDAY IN BARCELONA should not leave out one of the most famous streets in Europe. The tourist area of La Rambla can be very busy throughout the night, with many street performers, food stalls, restaurants and bars open and alive. You must take care as the bars and restaurants are more expensive than what you'll find one or two blocks away. There are several areas that stay open at night in Barcelona: just jump on the subway in Barcelona and explore. Public transport is cheap and very effective.
