Everyone, from time to time, feels sluggish and slow. You have things to do but you don't quite feel ready to do them. You don't feel that you have all of the energy you need to get the job done. In fact, you probably don't even want to get started on the jobs and search around for a myriad of excuses. Motivation is running at very low ebb.

Some people experience these feelings only rarely whilst for others it can be an almost perpetual, or habitual, state. If you fall into the latter category you will probably find that there are other elements that lie at the root cause of your lack of enthusiasm, energy and motivation.

For example, a lack of confidence is frequently found to be a key factor. When you don't feel confident about your ability to do something this poses a big barrier to motivation. When you fear the outcome of something it is quite likely that you will hold back and resist.

Sometimes you feel a lack of motivation due to depleted energy levels, both physical and mental. Your body can experience fatigue in a variety of ways, not just the most obvious ones. It's worth identifying the real source of that fatigue, be it lack of sleep, poor diet, insufficient exercise, anxious thoughts, disappointment, juggling too many tasks, or simply having a cluttered mind.

Motivation is powered by desire. You have to want to do or to achieve something so as to be motivated to do whatever is necessary to reach that goal. How you focus is therefore of vital importance to fuel yourself with the energy and motivate yourself towards success.

If you focus upon the obstacles that might get in your way instead of the rewards and benefits that will come with success then your fuel is low grade. If you allow your mind to dwell upon past failures or mistakes once again your fuel is below par and will not help you to get far on the road to success.

You need to ensure that your thoughts and focus fill your mind and body with super grade fuel. The correct thoughts will get your enthusiasm and motivation rocketing towards success. Hypnosis can be used to help keep your focus where you want it to be.

Hypnosis is a natural state of relaxation that allows you to access your subconscious mind. This is the part of your mind that thinks automatically and instinctively. Thus hypnosis allows you to make changes to current automatic thought patterns and also implant a new and more empowering habitual focus instead. In this way you can motivate yourself to feel full of energy and enthusiasm and pave your way to success.
