Green card permits to live and work permanently in the USA without any restrictions. Green card is an Immigration visa, so it takes some long time. But if you take immigration help from American Immigration Lawyers Association (formally called AILA), you can get green card quickly. Green card eliminates all restrictions for business purpose and work purpose. Many features granted by universities and schools (in-state tuition and resident tuition). Some jobs for only green card holders. The Green card holder can give sponsorship for their relatives. You can get all government jobs expect defiance and all temporary and permanent jobs. To elect a federal president, you must get citizenship. Green card must renewal for every 10 years. Submit I-130 form at the USCIS and submit form I-485 to change visa status. To become a Green card holder (permanent resident), you must be approved by the INS. Green cards formally issued by the USCIS, DSH and INS. INS: The Immigration and Naturalization Services is an independent department in the US justice. It analyzes of individual foreigners to handle Immigration and naturalization related matters. It has three agencies such as USCIS and CBP and ICE. USCIS: The US Citizenship and Immigration Service are a lawful federal agency. It has more tha 250 offices overall the world. USCIS provides brief information about all immigration laws to the customers, granted all features to the immigrants, Provides awareness and education about immigration, and ensuring the integrity of US civil culture. Integrity, respect, ingenuity, vigilance is four pillars for the USCIS. CBP: Customs Border and Protection is an enforcement agency in the DHS. Its duties regulate trade, customs, and immigration and aliens inter into the USA illegally, drug abusing, protect agriculture from pests and business frauds. It's a top enforcement agency in the USA. ICE: Immigration and Custom Enforcement is run under the DHS. It is responsible for all investigations, infrastructure and identifying for security related issues. It is a second largest investigative agency in the USA. DHS: The US Department of Homeland Security is an executive department of the US federal government. Its aim is to secure our borders from terrorists, accidents and natural disasters like tornado or cyclones. After 2011 September 11, the US department creates a cabinet department to protect all US citizens. INS process individual foreigners to enter into the USA. According to the US Immigration laws, all aliens must be granted permission from the INS to enter into the USA. The citizen may get US citizenship in two methods such as: The citizen born in the USA automatically consider as a US citizen, Second method is the citizen born out of the USA, he/ she considers as a foreigner. A foreigner can get US Citizenship through Naturalization under Immigration laws. If Foreigner's parents (either mother or father or both) are US citizens, the alien may claim US citizenship through their parents. The foreigners apply for permanent residency at the USCIS. The USCIS process the applications, rejects the petition if not followed immigration laws. The USCIS notify the reason of the rejection. The INS give full support to integrate into the US consulate and give legal guidance to know all laws and acts and ways to get green card.
