The foundation stone of Grant Medical College was laid on 30th March 1843 and the medical college was opened on 1st November 1845 by admitting the first batch of eight MBBS students. Eligibility Criteria
Candidates seeking MBBS Admission in one of the best medical colleges in India i.e. Grant Government Medical College Mumbai must have
• Completed 17 years of age as on 31st December of the year of MBBS admission.
• Passed HSC examination (Academic Stream of 10+2 curriculum) of any State/CBSE/ISC or any other examination recognized as equivalent thereto, with the group of subjects like - English, Physics, Chemistry, Biology (or Botany & Zoology) / Biotechnology and must have obtained a minimum of 50% marks taken together in Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Bio-technology at the qualifying Entrance Exam. In respect of the candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC (NCL), the minimum marks obtained in Physics, Chemistry and Biology taken together in the qualifying examination shall be 40% marks for Unreserved and General-EWS Candidates.
