If you have a child with autism, you’re probably already aware that his body might have difficulty eliminating toxins and other harmful substances efficiently. He may have recurring viral infections or an abundance of heavy metals. There may be a lot of behavioral and mood issues, or perhaps an irregular bowel. He could have problems with food and environmental allergens, or maybe sound sensitivity.
Or, like most of us, it’s highly likely that your spectrum child is experiencing some combination of all of the above. You may feel like you’ve tried everything and have yet to find the right way to help him. Now tell me something. Have you ever checked his glutathione levels?
Glutathione is located in every cell of the body. It’s the body’s main way to detoxify all of the harmful substances that we constantly come in contact with, both by what we ingest and by way of the byproducts produced in all of the complex processes going on in our body at any given time. Some say glutathione is as important to the body as food, water and oxygen, because if the body cannot eliminate toxins, the cells will die.
And our little angels with autism seem to have universally low levels of this important antioxidant. As Dr. Jill St. James discussed at the Autism One Conference in 2005, there are certain metabolic pathways in children with autism that are disrupted, resulting in a severe deficiency of certain critical vitamins and amino acids. One of these in particular that she and other researchers are studying intensively right now is glutathione, and how vital it is for the body’s ability to reduce oxidative stress, inflammation and toxic overload – especially in children with autism.
So, common sense would say, let’s just put more glutathione into the body! The only problem with that theory is how to do it. Most methods just don’t seem to work very well. For our son, we found that not only did oral glutathione supplements seem to be ineffective, but they also encouraged a horrible yeast overgrowth. So that option was out.
Our son’s doctor prescribed a very expensive trans-dermal cream that we had to apply to the backsides of elbows and knees twice a day. Our son, however, hated it because it smelled really bad and bothered his super-sensitive skin. That was a battle every day, twice a day, but we stuck with it for almost two years. When his glutathione levels still didn’t budge on his test results, we finally called it quits on that one too.
We had already decided this was just one of those things that we might not be able to do anything about, but then a friend of ours told us about a product she was using for her son. Her son had made tremendous progress on this product and she highly encouraged us to give it a try. Another supplement, I thought? No thanks. We already had an entire countertop and cabinet in our kitchen devoted to various supplements. There was no room for any more.
But our friend insisted that this one was different. She patiently explained why the other products didn’t work, and exactly why this one would. Although this was another supplement, she explained, it doesn’t try to put more glutathione into the body; it puts the components into the body so the body can produce more glutathione on its own.
And it works. It really works.
The product is called MaxGXL and the company is Max International. They distribute their products through independent representatives, but with more than twenty-five years worth of science and research to back up their claims. After only a few months on the product, I can honestly tell you that I fully support this glutathione accelerator, because I’ve seen the actual results in what it’s done for me, my husband, my parents, my son and my friends.
It will help your body produce more glutathione. What your body does with that extra glutathione will be a little different for everyone, based on your individual lifestyle, medical issues, and current reserves. I’m so happy with this product that I gave it a whole page on my website. The thing is - I can’t back a product unless I believe in it. And I only believe in something when I see the results and the science for myself. And I believe you will see it too.
