Do you have an issue with getting your child to eat healthy food?

Well, you are not the only one. It is as if children are all born with the same perception of a healthy food, they love greasy, spicy food and they love eating it in high amounts. No wonder reports from all around the world show that today's children have increased cholesterol and tend to have several health problems related to overweight. It is quite the same with us, the adults, but the worrisome part is that children are rarely capable of taking proper responsibly of their actions and understand the true issue of eating food high in fat.

We all know that when it comes to children parties, we can't avoid putting a plate or two of snacks and sweets on the big table. Luckily, there are a lot of ways to shift the healthy and not so preferred food by the little ones into a grand masterpiece of art and deliciousness. And because I know you are all looking for something unique for your child's birthday party I am going to share you something which comes right from my highly-praised personal collection of recipes. I've thoughtfully collected those for years, kept them in a secret until the next family event, gathering or party. What can I say, I like to surprise my guests with something new each time they come at home.

So let's not waste more time and see which are the basic ingredients for this exquisite meal. Here are the ingredients you need to prepare the recipe.

Ingredients:

Crusty bread
5 small pickles, finely chopped
4 red, medium-size, thinly sliced tomatoes
300 g ham
50 g olives
Butter
Toothpicks
Prepare the meal:

As we all know, regular meals are not of a high interest when it comes to children parties. For example, a spicy stake with veggie-based garnish might seem to be perfect for a home gathering, but children will most likely leave it untouched on the table. That's why, we are going to prepare a toy-like snack that will be both entertaining and delicious, and let's not forget nutritious, too.
Brush the crusty bread slices with butter and leave them aside.
Thinly slice the ham and create a triangle-shaped slices.
Cover the bread slices with chopped pickles and olives.
On each bread slice, stick a toothpick right in the center and wrap one triangle ham slice on the toothpick in order to hold it in this position.

And here we have a whole fleet of ships ready to take a journey to the unknown seas of the children's tummies.

Additional advice:

As we all know, food and children are the perfect combination for stubborn stains, juice splatters and so on. Oven cleaning experts from Melbourne say that the best way to get rid of the stains is to treat them when they are still wet. The easiest way to do so is to simply rub some salt in the stain or blot it with a bit of mild liquid dish soap.
