It is possible. It can happen to you. You can dream it then live it. But there is no magic formula. There is no fast track to realizing your dream. There is committed, heart-felt work involved. It takes setting and achieving goals and it takes having a strategy.

Why are goals important? The goal is what makes the dream become a reality. Goals give direction. Goals are measurable. The goal is the end toward which effort is directed. It is where your time, energy, finances, gifts, talents and skills are used.

What is a goal strategy? This is a careful, well thought out plan or method. Having a productive strategy is an art of devising plans toward a goal. It is the course of the action which you will put your effort toward.

By experience, being an author and having 10 books published, I am familiar with the type of commitment and work that it takes. One of my dreams is to continue to leave a strong artistic legacy for my lineage. One of my life goals I’ve set to achieve this particular dream is to write 60 books by the time I reach the age of 65. When I first set this goal, it included me writing and publishing three books every year. That equals to writing four books every month. In order to achieve this enormous goal and still reach my other dreams and maintain balance being an entrepreneur, wife, mother, grandmother and friend will take a specific goal strategy.

Each dream needs a goal, each goal needs a strategy. That is why it is imperative to have dream time. Dream time can be set according to what most suits you. It can be set when you first get up in the morning to having a scheduled time in the middle of your day or even at night before bed time. The time frame is individually set as well. It can be anywhere between 15 minutes to 2 hours. It is well worth the investment to see where you are now, where you want to go and make sure your route of getting there is clear. Metaphorically speaking, there may be road blocks or detours on your route and because you have control, you can readjust along the way.

So what is your goal strategy? How do you plan exactly to dream it then live it? What is your dream? What do you really want? How do you plan to get it? These are the first of many questions you alone will need to answer. Write it down. Do not leave it to your memory. Writing it down will lessen the physical and mental energy you use to organize all the other thoughts going on in your head. It will not be by happenstance. You can achieve personal and professional set goals. Achieving your goals will take being full of passion and daily motivation. It will take a goal strategy which directly relates to realizing your dream. If you haven’t already, go ahead and start today. If you have a dream and find yourself stuck in seeing it happen, create or revisit your goal strategy and experience incredible forward movement.
