Dear Dr. Romance:

I'm a 70-yr old man who has been married more than forty years.  I read your article "Autonomy and Dependency" I feel like I've been in a codependency relationship the last fifteen years and have
developed anxiety & depression. My wife is a strong person and I'm a 'pleaser'. I've been on antidepressants for the last nine years and would like to get out of this anxiety but don't know if I can at this point. So do you have a recommendation for me?

Dear Reader:
I'm glad you're recognizing you need some emotional help.  Therapy would be a great solution for your anxiety, your depression and even your marriage.  "Guidelines for Finding and Using Therapy Wisely" will help you find someone in your area. "Keys to a Happy Relationship"  and "Couples Can Cooperate for Success" will help you sort things out with your wife.  "Handling Anxiety Effectively" wil help you combat your anxiety in more effective ways.

It Ends With You: Grow Up and Out of Dysfunction will show you the sources of your anxiety and how to heal yourself.
